Kingswood health centre car park

Plenty of spaces though recently clobbered with £100 fine (reduced to £60) for dropping off a relative for a doctor's appointment and waiting for them for 1/2 hour in this carpark. Beware: you're only allowed 20 free in the carpark. If you're going to be any longer you must log your vehicle details at reception!!! As I'm not a patient at this practice I wasn't aware of this and though there are signs in the carpark it was a dark and rainy night in question so didn't notice them. Why the practice needs to offload the management of the carpark is beyond me!

Parking is limited to 20 minutes unless you enter your reg into a machine inside so make a note of it before enteringI didn’t know the chemist was the same and got a money demand from parking eye for £100 (remember this is an invoice for parking it’s NOT a fine only the Gvt or its representatives can issue fines)Told them to sing for it as I was parked in a disabled bay (yes I am disabled) with a badge displayed and I could prove I had an apptI’m awaiting response but will not be paying it regardless of what they say, it’s unlikely they will go legal as the max they can claim is the reduced fine plus £35 court fees.I find it incredible that you have to book appts online but can’t “register” a vehicle with the centre as a frequent attendeeBath hospital will let you register two cars if disabled and you can park without “fines” as it is on the system…….so why can one NHS trust do it and not the other ?
