Excellent carvery at a reasonable price (£12) on Sunday lunchtime. Two generous slices from a choice of four very tender joints, plus the usual self-service vegetables. Rather lacking in atmosphere, hence only 4 stars.

Dad got a gammon steak but couldn't eat it as too tough, and chicken curry not great, service ok if your not in a rush,

Great food! Amazing staff, very friendly and welcoming.Edited: me and my family revisited on two occasions since opening inside. We sat down for a meal in the restaurant area and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the timing was perfect, It didnt feel like we waited at all really. Also very well spaced.The second time I visited was in the bar. Great atmosphere. Pool table, darts board and live sports, up to two channels at a time, 4 small screens and 1 big. The landlord has told me there is 2 more screens in the beer garden, I did not venture out as for the weather conditions.Highly recommend a visit for yourselves.

Went for a take out Sunday lunch as we had been busy all day. Good choices and plenty of everything. Beef was very tender. Staff very friendly. 1st time we have had a takeaway lunch from there but it won't be the last

Always a warm welcome amazing food what's not to love service is spot on staff polite and well dressed....Not stood about day screaming or on mobile devices like other places...Don't be shy go give them a try...

Met by lovely waiting and bar staff, very helpful and engaging. Had a Sunday carvery the server was most pleasant and served generous portions of meat. Garlic and Rosemary crispy roast potatoes, roast carrots and parsnips a choice of vegan/gluten free gravy or, meaty jus to smother your dinner with. Vegetables were al-dente not mush like you would ordinarily find in a carvery.The decor may be off putting from the outside but the food and staff makes this a 4 star. Improved decor and facilities would make this a 5* experience for a quick family no-nonsense Sunday lunch.Gluten free options availableDisability friendlyLGBT+ friendly
