Wonderful walk along the Fife Coastal Path at Kilminning Nature Reserve. The geology along the coast is stunning. Danes Dyke takes its name from the many Danish Viking Raids on the coast. Also a spot at the Lochaber Rocks where Marie De Guise, second wife of James V and future mother of Mary Queen of Scots, landed on 16 June 1538.

Not the easiest place to find. Follow signs for Crail Golfing Society and then just past the old airfield take the (narrow) opening on the right, signposted for East of Scotland Karting. Carry on past the kart centre to find the car parks and picnic area. From here, a narrow swing gates leads down to the reserve and the Fife Coastal Path.Paths are rough, beaten tracks mostly, so not suitable for push chairs, etc., and there are some steepish sections and coarse steps at times (and a couple more of those narrow swing gates).Lots of butterflies around in July and generally good for spotting seabirds especially in passage.

Nice area, great if you're car camping although it is a tad windy, there's a height restriction barrier so no campervans.

Lovely place for a wander. Loads of seabirds. We were even lucky enough to see a small pod of dolphins showing off near the shore.
