Hoi Choi Restaurant
I can recommend Hoi Choi as they deserve the five stars I gave in every category! From the moment you walk in, staff are friendly,knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to make sure you have a great experience.The menu had plenty of choice for anyone who likes Asian or Indian food. You could have small plates and treat like tapas. The mains offered a large range from buttercream chicken for people who are aren't so spicy to 5 chilli rated dishes. Also ramen and noodles on the menu. I had pad Thai which was noodles with chicken and king prawn,it was excellent. Reasonable prices make Hoi choi our new go to place for a meal on a treat night!

Great experience! This restaurant is hands down one of my favourite Pan Asian places to visit… I had the chicken katsu curry which was one of the best I’ve ever had! Generous portion sizes, and all the staff were very attentive and friendly, along with the decor being lovely too! Will definitely be visiting again, highly recommend!

The starters were superb! I had Chicken lollipop and lamb chops. Other people in the group could only utter high praise of the starters they had. Chicken lollipop is a little bit on the spicy side, but it suits my palette nicely!Mains are nice too! If you like Pan-Asian cuisine, visit Hoi Choi in Doncaster.

From the moment Hoi Choi announced its opening, my partner and I were buzzing with excitement. Having now visited, I can confidently say the restaurant has effortlessly matched and even surpassed our anticipations.Diving into the tapas and small plates section, the chicken satay skewers and beef short rib bao buns greeted our palates with a burst of authentic flavors, a testament to the culinary prowess behind the kitchen doors.Although our starters and mains were served simultaneously, this was communicated to us in advance. The beef ramen was a delightful journey back to my recent trip to Japan, absolutely hitting the spot. My partner's choice of chicken katsu curry was not just a treat for the taste buds but also a visual delight.Being ardent fans of Wagamamas, we've longed for its presence in Doncaster. However, with Hoi Choi in town, that wish feels redundant.It was evident that the staff is still finding their ground, showing a touch of nervousness despite their commendable attentiveness. We are certain with time, they'll exude the confidence their dishes already showcase.Our sweet finish with deep-fried bao buns and a scoop of rich coconut sorbet was the cherry on top. In essence, Hoi Choi is the culinary breath of fresh air Doncaster has been waiting for, filling a niche that was previously untouched.To wrap it up, Hoi Choi gets a resounding 10/10 from us. Eagerly awaiting our next visit!

I've been hearing some great things about this place so decided to try it as a Sunday evening treat. Very disappointed, ordered a Pad Thai and the only flavour was the soy sauce, the entire dish was overly salty and not enjoyable at all and the noodles were overcooked for my liking. Very disappointed. For the price of the dish I was expecting more. My review is only based on this dish, husband ordered something different and he was very pleased with it.

I was really and trully disappointed with lack of choice. After all, we were all hopeful when seeing pan asian restaurant in this town.When I asked about veggie options waiter had to go and get somebody else, who was more knowledgeable and recommended edamame beans, gyozas, apparently they didn't quite know what was in vegetable ones. I could only pick from three, very similar dishes. The rest contains one animal or the other.My chosen chow main with tofu was served with flat rice noodles (?) that were badly over cooked. Almost as overcooked as all the vegetables.Where it was lacking in taste it was abundant with greasiness and general unpleasantness.What a let down. It wasn't helped when staff explained that due to vegan requirement fish or oyster sauce couldn't have been added, which apparently would have made all the difference.Lack of description of ingredients is not generally an issue but when you tweak recipes it would be handy to know what one is getting.I understand that not everyone knows how to cook for vegans, but that is not an excuse for overcooking dish etc. And whilst I dont want to knock them for trying, it was waste of time and ingredients as it was inedible.My review is only in regards to Vegan food. I haven't tried any meat ones, or those containing sea creatures and I have heard nothing but positive feedback on those.Shame to leave us out, but sadly I won't be back unless something changes.

Hoi Choi Restaurant
Visited in September 2023. Fabulous meal – full of flavour and well presented. I particularly enjoyed the katsu curry. Staff were polite and friendly, and service was efficient. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening out with friends in a pleasant environment. Special mention and thanks to Fez. Will look forward to coming again.

We had two types of ramen, both really tasty. The chilli & garlic chicken wings are a must try!!Great service, Oana made us feel very looked after, she’s amazing at her job!Can’t wait to visit again soon!Thanks!
