Excel Smyth Street Car Park

Bad lighting. Rip off charges. As with all Excel car parks.

Not even worthy of one star! They sent me a notice to say I parked here without a ticket , I appealed immediately sending proof of my ticket purchase on my MiPermit app. I received an automated email back to say they will be in touch within 28 days . Two months later (today) I get a letter from a debt recovery agency stating i now owe them £170 for ignoring their fine notice . I’ve replied stating they owe me £200 for ignoring my appeals letter . I’ll see them in court where they’ll look right idiots when I show the magistrates proof of my purchased ticket and appeal correspondence! Do not park here at any costs! They are a company of crooks who try and bully innocent people into paying them money . Complete incompetence, they didn’t even have the decency to review my appeal

Aweful poorly lit, over charges.

Sad that i need to give 1 star... discusting company... while i have a permit, keeps bullying me with parking charges.. impossible to talk to anyone if calling to customer service as there is no way to reach them... appealed millions of times and comes back as unable to appeal sonce trying to steal money while knowing that I have permit... discusting!!!!!!!

Don't park here! You will receive penalty charges even when you have paid in full. Appeals are ignored. Excel Parking Services/ VCS, scam company, google them. Avoid at all costs!

Lost an appeal for a hire van & despite having paid the full whack, I didn't keep the ticket due to it being a hired vehicle & not being from Wakefield. Stated I had underpaid by £1.20 and I now owed them £100!! I had paid for the full day & POPLA the separate body just uphold anything regardless. DO NOT PARK HERE & if you have no choice, take pictures of the machine when you arrive, take picture when you exit, picture of your ticket & keep receipt/statements. It's a scam car park that doesnt make money from charging you £3.20, it makes money from sending PCN's....

CAN'T GIVE ZERO UNFORTUNATELY - APPALLING SIGNAGE, APPALLING PAYMENT MACHINE. STAYED 17 MINS (12 MINS OF WHICH WERE TRYING TO GET THE PAYMENT MACHINE TO WORK!) AND NOW CHARGED £100. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN MORE NOTICE OF THE OTHER REVIEWS HERE...

Pursuing me for £100 for a technical error on the parking app that ended in me parking here but, unbeknownst to me, paying for parking at Smyth Street Car Park number two. They are money grabbing vultures Excel, beware of this scam, I will never park here again.
