Jane has been cutting and colouring my hair for more years than I care to remember.I trust her completely and have had numerous changes in both style and colour, and I always leave with a fabulous new look.She cuts hair with a flair and expertise that is second to none.The salon has a great atmosphere for all ages and now you can even have your nails done whilst your colour works it’s magic....I loved not having to make a separate appointment.All in all a great experience, sit back and relax and take some time out just for you

Jane is now mobile and I found her just after Covid when I moved to Devon from Yorkshire and she had just turned to mobile hairdressing. We were both new to the area and it seemed like an omen when she popped up on my facebook introducing herself. From her very first visit we got on great, had a laugh, she listened to what I needed, gave sound advice, cut and coloured my hair perfectly and left as a friend. She always manages to fit me in when I need her, still listens (and does) what I need and 3 years down the line I am the happiest I've ever been with my hair. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her skills to anyone.

Jane is absolutely THE BEST hairdresser I've ever had! When I first went to shear genius my hair was a state and hadn't been cut for a long time. Jane was very attentive and really listened to what it was I wanted, she sent me out looking and feeling fabulous! Jane and Co have never failed me and I wouldn't even think of going elsewhere.ever.

I have been coming to Jane for as long as I can remember. I trust Jane 110% with my hair and I have always had a fabulous cut, colour and style. Jane goes the extra mile and I will always use her for party hair too. The atmosphere in the salon is always fun and one comes out with a great hair style and a big grin from all the laughing. I don't often leave reviews, however I would recommend Jane to anyone.

I have been a client at Shear Genius for over 20 years. I have never been disappointed and Jane has never let me down.My hair is short and for it to look good a really good cut is essential. Jane’s cutting skills are in my opinion second to none!I woul urge anyone who is looking for a new hairdresser to give Jane a call and make an appointment. You will not be disappointed.

I used to go to this salon as Jane always did my hair perfectly. I then moved away. I certainly missed Jane in the interim years then, thanks to Facebook I found her again, now doing mobile hairdressing. All I can say is Thank goodness"!!! I am so pleased to have Jane do my hair again."

Jane is a great hairdresser, does an excellent job , always happy , friendly , does your hair exactly how you want . It's great that she is mobile now and would recommend her to everyone . The best you could have .

Ladies as Sheer Genius are very friendly and making you feel welcome.Jane is very professional and such an expert in hair care.She can advise you with regards to your colour and cut, so you will be happy with your end result.I would definitely recommend this place for having your hair or nails done (Alex is truly amazing!).I will be back in near future for sure.

After having to find another Hair Salon as mine is due to close I thought it would be mission impossible to find another local, stylish salon with stylists that understand what you want doing to your hair from the off without having to break the bank. Wrong!! Shear Genius is fantastic!! The salon is really stylish, full of glitz and glam which I love and you feel part of the Salon family as soon as you walk in the door. Really friendly genuine down to earth team. Jane is a true professional, top of her game and did exactly what I’d asked for. Got it right first time which is impressive considering she’d never worked on my hair or coloured it before, best blow dry I’ve ever had. Didn’t once brag about her experiences and name dropped like lots of stylists have done in the past. Jane let her work do the talking and I’ve booked in again! Fabulous salon with great customer service. Jane and the team listen brilliantly to your needs/wants and go out of their way to make sure that they’ve achieved the style you want. Love having my hair cut here, always feels like a special treat for myself. Highly recommend!
