National Tyres and Autocare - a Halfords company

Great service. When a Ford garage couldn’t find a puncture, I took my car to National Tyres in Newton le Willows. The mechanic persevered and found the very small puncture.I highly recommend this branch.Many thanks.I go here for honest, helpful advice.Recently had an MOT and staff were very helpful.

Excellent service and very helpful staff. Pre book my car in for a new tyre. The job was done quickly and professionally. Would recommend.Entrance and exit from site can be tricky as it's on a busy road.

Took my car in for service and MOT. All done OK and at a decent price. However the engine splash guard was not put back on. Arranged to bring the car back for it to be fitted (as I was told it was still there), only to be told by Callum that the one that was there wouldn't fit/wasn't mine. It makes me now question the level of competence for other things (such as service and MOT) if someone knowingly didn't replace this and then lied to a customer. Will be avoiding from now on. Very disappointing for a local garage.***updates***I thought it fair to add an update to the situations. Halfords customer care have been in touch since I raised a complaint. They spoke to the garage who said they found the part after all. Took the car today for it to be fitted and received a £50 voucher and a sincere apology from Halfords.Still not happy about the whole process and will probably not use again as a result of this unfortunately.

We have always used this branch of National Tyres over the years for puncture repairs & replacement tyres. They've been outstanding. Sadly, now that they're part of Halfords, they are no longer interested in those that need urgent repairs. We found out on Friday after struggling in that you now have to book an appointment and would currently be looking at a minimum two day wait. That's no good when you need your car for work....So be warned folks if you have an emergency, don't bother trailing here.

Terrible customer service. I took two cars for new tyres and instantly had faults with both. They refused to take any fault and wanted more money to fix the issue. When I went privately to get them repaired it was diagnosed with having ill fitted tyres.

Provides MOT but limited repairs!My Mum booked an MOT for her car recently. She rang them after 3 hours, because she hadn't heard anything and was told her MOT had failed. She was then told that they would not be able to repair the car and that she would need to repair it or get someone else to. They did not provide her with any support or advice on who could help her.I would not recommend an MOT from this place, hence the 1 star rating!

Booked my car in for a MOT, and because I have an app, Know Your Car, it popped up to tell me it had failed. It took a few hours for the garage to call me to tell me and when I asked them to carry out the work needed I was told that it needed a new sub frame and that they couldn't do it. I asked them to carry out the other jobs while I looked into getting the sub frame done, to be told that they couldn't fit me in until the following week. Why on earth do they do MOTs if they can not carry out any repairs needed to make it pass for at least another week. I have always used National Tyres and Autocare, and they have always carried out the repairs needed there and then, but never this branch, and I will definitely not be going there again. I feel that since they were taken over by Halfords, they don't give the same service.

Bad service , I Wass on the shop at 17:20 the guy speak on the phone for 10 minutes , when he close his phone at 17 :30 he tell me he can't sell me nothing after 17:30 to comeback in the morning .
