Came here for lunch with my wife and young family on recommendations. I was so impressed. The kids meals were really big and yummy and mine loved it! You get refillable squash too which is a bonus!Myself and my wife shared a pate to start and then I had fillet steak which was cooked perfectly and my wife had baked salmon from the specials board! Such a lovely lunch and 100% recommend.

Very good night recently for us at the Lion. Karaoke show was on. Hilarious everyone was getting into it. Some great singers too. Some like whaling cats ha ha. Look forward to coming again.

A very good place for a meal and booking is advisable. Price, quality, quantity and service is just right. The menu choice is extensive. There is a car park at the back which could do with marking of each bay as some customers park inconsiderately.

Can't believe how busy this pub was when we visited! It's a small village, but it gets packed which created a lovely vibrant atmosphere. Service was a little slow, as it was so busy, but the food didn't disappoint. The burger was one of the best I've ever had, and prices were reasonable.Lots of seating inside, and some out the front opposite the cricket pitch.Definitely recommended!Parking is limited and pretty tight, so best to park on the road

Welcoming and popular 15th Century pub in Pagham. Happy hour when we arrived. Three ales on offer, TangleFoot and Badger of note. We'll kept. Plenty of seating in and out, and lovely inglenook fire and traditional fittings adding to the charm. 1 minutes walk away and you have another PUB The Bear, also worth a visit.

Our first visit to the Lion as a trial for our Christmas Dinner which we have on Christmas eve. The staff were extremely busy but gave really good customer service and were very welcoming. The food was outstanding we all enjoyed the choices we made The only minor comment was a lack of traditional puddings ie apple pies crumble which are comforting this time of year. But the dessert we did have was lovely. We booked straight away for Christmas. We will now use this pub when we visit my mother rather than one a bit further out. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Absolutely amazing food! I had the Pan Fried Scallops with garlic butter & Black pudding to start and the slow cooked Porcetta for my main comes with dauphinois potatoes & seasonal vegetables it was to die for.The staff cannot do enough for you & so attentive! I can’t wait to come back 5* Service all the way I can’t recommend enough.

We visited The Lion, Pagham on the last evening of our holiday staying in Aldwick. Food is exceptional quality and the service is outstanding, all staff are friendly and helpful. What a gem of a place to find. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. If eating, I suggest booking, we did and just as well, the place was packed. Looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

Such a good night here. Lots of Christmassy touches and an organised Christmas menu and theme. Every table was clean and was laid with crackers.There are specials and desserts boards dotted around the pub so you can have a look while you are seated.The food was extremely well priced and delicious. Large portions so you will definitely be leaving here with a full stomach.Clean loo facilities. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Easy ordering and not long a wait for food.

Very busy Thursday night dinner. Full house which gives a good sign. Nice pub. Traditional deco and interior. Great vibes and atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Good varieties of food come in big portions which was unnecessary as most of us in our group of 6 could not finish what’s on the plate. My fettuccine was a little overdone as it was drowned in the sauce. Look pictures. Dessert were good. Smaller portions. Friendly staff and quick service.
