Seemed surprised by the enquiry to book a taxi. Wouldn't confirm a booking, put me on hold for several minutes until I gave up. Rude. Used islay taxis instead.

Even if we called Carols Cabs as a last minute token of hope to save our distillery tour, she showed herself on perfect timing at the ferry arrival in Port Ellen.I would definitely recommend it as cab service.Professional and very kind!

Unreliable and not very friendly. Called her and booked a tour for the next day but then she did not turn up and said she had mixed up the days. An hour later she managed to get someone else to come (Hughie who was great and very friendly).Half way through the day unfortunately Carol took over. Super stressed. Said she had to be somewhere and stressed us.Then at the end she still asked for full payment despite shes had messed everything up, shortened or tour by an hour so we missed one place.Incredible how she, who does not care an iota about her customers, can be in business on an island where everyone else we met were super friendly and welcoming.

Had a very positive experience with Carols Cabs. On arrival she picked us up from the airport within 10 mins and took us to our hotel.Dianella took us all around the island and even waited for us to complete a tour with the meter off. She gave us interesting tidbits of information as we travelled across the country side making our travel between distilleries as interesting as the distilleries themselves.On the day of our departure she even let us keep our bags in her car after she dropped us in Bowmore for the day. I don't think I've ever trusted a cab driver with all our possessions like that before (cameras, laptops and cash all being in our bags). She would have quite the haul if she'd run off with our bags. Dianella's demeanour is kind and caring and she really looked after us.Can't recommend them enough and will definitely be using Carols Cabs if/when we venture back to Islay.A special shoutout to Dianella!!! I wish all cab drivers were like you.

Absolutely fantastic service. Carol was quick to collect us after another taxi company (who we had booked in advance with *bahh*) failed to pick us up from the airport.Lots of local knowledge, helpful hints and tips and history of the island. Always willing to pick us up and get us to where we need to be on time. Carol has gone above and beyond with us numerous times lending us a torch late at night, offering to store our bags on travel days etc.Fantastic, friendly and thoughtful. We would highly reccomend.

Yet another great Feis Ile! Carol was absolutely excellent again, picking us up at all hours of the day and late at night, and taking us to some very out of the way places. Prices are very good too.Carol is so friendly and helpful, and has never let us down - even when we make last minute bookings. Not sure how she can keep on top of it all with so many hundreds of tourists wanting taxi rides everywhere!Thank you so much to Carol and Donalda - you made our holiday yet again.Highly recommended

Great service and reliable. We’ve used Carol’s Cabs a few times now whilst we’ve stayed in Islay & have never been disappointed. Carol is great and was a life saver for us when she spotted us walking home one night late in the rain after the whisky festival and football, and took us home out the goodness of her heart. Absolute legend :)
