Rock Antics

I've been climbing for just over 7 months’ now, tried a few of the local gyms and this is the one that just felt right.Really friendly staff, warm, welcoming, happy to give advice and nice to talk to for general chit chat!The wall and the problems are great and continue to have routes changed weekly by different setters or even guest setters from across the country. They use Griptonite as well so you can track how your doing within the gym either about yourself or against over climbers within the gym if you would like to. There is climbs in here for everyone of all abilities be it a child or adult climber!They often have competitions within the gym that are really relaxed and more for the fun parts of competitiveness.The over climbers that frequent the gym are all lovely, will actively encourage on routes, there is no reason to feel self-conscious about your abilities as a climber as everyone is there for the same thing to have fun and climb! I’ve made some good friends at this gym who I hope to continue to see and climb with.

Great gym. Couldn't ask for more from a bouldering perspective - good variety of problems and good setting. Staff are always friendly and supportive. Particularly noticeable is the support for younger climbers, there always seems to be a lot of support for kids and younger people - that said, as a beginner adult it's still a good gym. It's not as fancy as some of the other bouldering gyms around, but I really like that that emphasis is on good quality climbing here.I've had some great support from a particular of staff and he's been fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. Always interested in what's going on, and incredibly supportive of my wife who's got a some climbing related confidence issues.Safety is high on the priority list at Rock Antics (unlike some other gyms within an hour or two) and, while I imagine that irritates some people, I think that it's great. There's intrinsically an element of risk in climbing, and there's a real onus at RA to mitigating that as far as possible.I did a ropes course here a few months ago and that's given my wife and I the confidence to rope climb elsewhere - couldn't ask for more!

Cool chilled climbing gym good atmosphere friendly users and staff, always the right kind of music. Challenging puzzles to test your ability.

Gym itself is great, offer lots of variety and most of the staff are nice.There is one member of staff though which just makes me and my mate just feel uncomfortable / not welcome. Sees us there every week and asks if we are members in just a real condescending tone. Guy needs to work on his people skills or not work in a customer facing / engaging job.Cheers

Fantastic gym for all age groups and abilities. The staff are always pleasant and supportive. The support and encouragement they give to the younger climbers is exceptional. As safety is a major priority they swiftly address unsuitable behavior which can bring negative feedback. Keep up the good work!! The routes are amazing and with weekly set changes, you keep us coming back for more.

Fantastic antics going on. Excellent bouldering problems to choose from which are always getting refreshed. Staff are very friendly.

Very good climbing gym with great problems and a lot to choose from. Also has very nice staff that are very supportive and kind and help with any problems you have. I would definitely reccomend

I took my 4 year old daughter to Rock Antics and she really enjoyed herself, and it was her first time. Her enjoyment and confidence was all because the staff made her feel welcomed, spent a lot of time with her to teach and encourage her to get on the wall and have fun. This place is truly a fantastic place for everyone and at all ages, and such great people that work her. Thank you Rock Antics, you were so brilliant and have made me want to come back again and again. Top top service and facilities, everyone must try!!!

Rock antics is a fantastic small climbing wall offering boulders and ropes. All staff are friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help anyone and everyone.

Always great, they regularly change the climbing routes and their prices are very reasonable. The staff are always keen to help and get involved, really friendly place would 100% recommend for all levels beginner to “expert”
