Excellent pub-hotel.Well equipped rooms which feel luxurious. Helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent.Whilst we were there a large and obnoxious group were whinging about breakfast & we thought the staff handled this excellently (despite the abuse). We will definitely be back to enjoy and evening meal!

First time at this super country pub. Just lovely. Food was so good I only took one picture. Why do that when enjoying. Such lovely friendly staff. Service perfect. Look forward to going back. Thank you

What an idyllic place. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, the rooms are styled with elegance and comfort, with the added bonus that it is also dog friendly. We had a delightful meal in the evening and breakfast did not disappoint either. Will definitely be visiting again, even if it's just for a quick pint! Thank you for making our stay so memorable ☺️

The Cow Dalbury was simply wonderful. The staff are lovely, the rooms are lovely, the breakfast by the fire is lovely. Simply everything I could have hoped for. It was a real refuge after a long day of doing and travelling.

Good quality, as always. Prices are up but not a problem. However, fewer mussels in the large pot; paying more to get less. Mmm?

We had a very good lunch for 6. The choice was not extensive but everyone enjoyed their main course. Some had beef, some had pork. We had cauliflower cheese sides and the mains came with a great selection of vegetables. Sweets were equally good. Staff were very professional and attentive. I will go again.

The Cow pub is lovely and set in a quiet residential area. The room was clean, stylish and comfortable. Ours had a lovely ensuite with Milton brown products -l+ good selection of teas and coffee. Service was good and breakfast nice. The thing that let it down for us was it wasn't soundproof like it says. Our room was above the bar and you could here the music, people talking, laughing, etc. We had a difficult time going to sleep which is a shame because we never get away from the kids and we're really looking forward to a quiet restful night. You could also hear the other guests walking to and from rooms as well as opening and closing doors... I did worry booking at a pub we would have a noise issue but was hopeful with the soundproofing being mentioned it wouldn't have been a problem. If you plan to stay up later than this will not be a problem for you. It got quiet around 11:20pm (on weds night).

We booked here for a birthday night away in August after reading reviews. The staff, food, atmosphere and area was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and the 3 courses we had over dinner was delicious. The village itself is very quiet, nothing else in walking distance but very pretty. However, we had booked a downstairs room as we came with our dog and did not sleep at all.The room (number 3 I believe) was right next to the restaurant with no sound proofing and until last service has finished and the staff have finished tidying up you can hear everything from the tables conversation to the staff putting the cutlery away.So it was silent from around midnight but the room was so so hot, we were awake from around 2-5am and debated driving home as it was just so stuffy. On Check out the next day I mentioned that for future guests it would be good to have a fan in the room- we could not request one when we woke in the night as we were told earlier in the day that the pub is not manned over night, so unless the fire alarm goes off after last service no one is staffing the pub. The woman said that fans are usually provided in the room as they often get feedback about the rooms being very hot at night. It was disappointing that no fan was provided, and no apology despite staffing knowing how hot the room are.I would recommend The cow for a lovely dinner or casual drink but I would not stay at the night again, we were really disappointed with the nights sleep and feedback on check out.
