Day Lewis Pharmacy Whipton

There’s a young blonde girl who works at this pharmacy (might be the chemist, not sure) who was so short and rude to me today and who clearly has no concept of duty of care. I came in, admittedly 5 minutes before close and queued up to ask a question. I ran around all day trying to obtain an emergency prescription and came to this pharmacy after I was told by my gp that chemists can legally prescribe emergency medication. When I got to the till they told me no, I didn’t dispute this but I just wanted the understand why not so I knew what to do next. instead of answering a simple question with compassion, the girl said ‘it’s 5 o’clock’ saying that I should leave, as if I didn’t know. I’m not sure why I was let into the pharmacy in the first place if they weren’t willing to serve me or answer one question. extremely rude as the medication I was after was a prescription of emergency antidepressants and due to technical problems with my GP surgery they couldn’t prescribe it for me straight away. I just don’t know why you would go into this field of work if you lack the compassion to understand why people can’t go without their prescribed medication and why she couldn’t say no to me in a kinder more compassionate way. she made me feel just awful.

I know you have to wait in chemist's but this place is just abysmal. Go in for one prescription, they read it out loud off their screen and then they come back with an old prescription that wasn't picked up that's nothing like what was read out to me ! Just plain rubbish in there .I'd rather go 20miles further than go back there again. They don't even deserve one star rating

AVOID. Moved from Sainsburys after they closed. Worst decision I made moving here. Pharmacist completely incompetent. Swore blind she dispensed my medication. I was made to look a fool in front of a shop of people when they kept telling me my much needed medication was owed for days and then went back for it to be told I had already had it, when I absolutely hadn’t been given it and made me out to be a liar. Unbelievably bad customer service. I moved pharmacy straight after this happened!!

The worst place for meds as they keep forgetting to deliver your meds on time and make you wait with out your heart meds for almost a week be for redelivery and you can never contact them on the phone as it’s always off the hock

I am a long time customer but service has been going downhill for some time. Staff are generally pleasant and seem to be doing their best, but clearly not coping with the demand. Delays in filling prescriptions, lack of standard issue stock, frequent lunch time closure and not answering the telephone are common themes. It's about time Day Lewis stepped in to sort this out.

Really helpful staff who do there very best considering the influx of customers due to Lloyds pharmacy closure

Has to be the worst pharmacy I have ever used! Staff work at the pace of sloths.

Been using this Pharmacy for many years, both professionally and personally since days of Mr Boobier.The team have been professional and supportive.However recently more busier and run ragged, with increased clientele and under staffing.On the visit this Friday and Saturday greeted by a young lady who was only interested in the basics gave a customer in front of me a curt rude response leaving him not knowing where and how to collect his medication.As a professional retired medic I was shocked at the response as were the others in the queue who over heard the one sided conversation.I shall be speaking to the team (and Zoe) on my next visit when they are not so busy.

I will be changing my pharmacy asap. First time going here since Sainsbury’s pharmacy closed and can honestly say I have never met anyone so arrogant or ruder in my life absolutely disgraceful how you managed to stay in business I have no idea disgusting behaviour!

while queuing outside to open not one member of staff came outside to let the people in que they couldn't open as had no pharmacist . they just hid when I tried to get there attention 10 mins after they shoud of opened . no one could see the sign of the door as person in que was stood infront of it and another lady who needed her prescription for her sick child after bring at Devon docs during the night just wanted to know if she could get it somewhere else as it had been sent there was also ignored. think they need to go back to do a course on basic costumer service
