The Eastwood Community Endoscopy Unit

I felt compelled to put my experience of my procedure in a review, From the moment I walked through the door, I was put at ease. Nice cheery Receptionist, took the time to explain to me what will happen. Comfortable waiting room, Thorough check on Medical History and then in for the procedure with Nurse Sharon. Very caring and attentive, the Consultant and his team were excellent, and diagnosis straight away, Maverlous. Cannot recommend this place highly enough and a big Thank you to all concerned!

Came for a colonoscopy, receptionist was very welcoming at the beginning. The nurse I had came across as apathetic and seemed quite indifferent/cold of my obvious anxiety before the procedure. I understand everyone has a different personality but a little more warmth would have been so much more comforting. The doctor and nurse in the procedure room were kind and helped me as I was started to get faint from the fear of the procedure/cannula. Sadly the sedation seemed to have 0 effect on pain relief and I found it very painful, maybe if the sedation was given more time to kick in or maybe wasn’t enough but they started pretty much straight away. The recovery nurse was delightful. Thank you for the biscuits.

I had a colonoscopy procedure today - it was my first one being only 25 (and, if fact, my first medical procedure ever) and I was quite nervous beforehand. It turns out the preparation (fasting and taking the laxative drink) is worse than the actual procedure. As soon as I arrived the receptionist made me feel at ease with her kindness. The nurse I saw for the pre-procedure consultation was so friendly and explained everything to me in detail. She was happy to answer all of my questions and I felt very at ease. The procedure itself was a similar experience - the doctor was so reassuring and kind! I felt very little pain with just gas and air and it was over before I knew it. The nurses in the recovery room were also lovely and it was just such a positive experience for something I anticipated to be scary beforehand. Being nervous before such a procedure is understandable, but I hope my review reassures other patients. The nurses and doctors at this clinic are amazing!

Mr Stir and his team were absolutely brilliant! He explained what was going to happen and then during the procedure he continued to tell me what was taking place which gave me so much confidence in other words full transparency … He kept a dialogue with me not just talking above my head.Excellent!!from the receptionist when I walked in to the nurse who sat with me at the finish again fully explaining the aftercare. Fantastic service *****

I came here today to have a colonoscopy and gastroscopy, I can honestly say all the east wood staff and doctors are excellent, I felt really anxious I was settled straight away the doctor run me through the procedure and it went so smoothly.Would defently 100 percent recommend this clinic to anyone, thank you so much for the care you gave me. Also the procedures are really not that bad over in minutes.

I felt it was a bit odd to want to write a review of this place given what it does but I felt they deserved 5 stars after my visit today. I normally write reviews of restaurants and pubs... Not places where they put cameras inside you!I was treated with the utmost respect and I was made to feel extremely at ease before, during and after my procedure. The staff are extremely friendly and really easy to get on with.I just wanted to say thankyou :)Paul

I was very anxious about have my colonoscopy this morning. All went really well. The receptionist was very kind. The dr u had was just lovely I had it done under sedation didn't feel a thing . The nurses were amazing and calmed me down. Thank u for your kindness and for looking after me

I went to this clinic for two procedures and the staff were wonderful and looked after me through the whole time I was there.It's the second time I have been and both times treated really well.
