I had an excellent experience shooting professional portraits. Alwin was clearly an expert, and at the same time was friendly and relaxed, creating some great images.

We've now used Smithfield Studios twice for for filming some corporate videos in the studio and both times it's been an easy and pleasant experience. The studio is a lovely space in central Sheffield, that's easy to get to and from with plenty of parking and we were very pleased with the white studio.Alwin himself is warm and friendly and so helpful! Whether it was setting up our lights or pointing out a glare on our video or just supplying us with tea and coffee to keep us going through the shoot! We don't have a single fault.I would highly recommend.

Alwin was amazing. From first contact to finish he replied to messages, contacted when he said he would. When we had our discussion with him just before the wedding he made is feel at ease, and that we were in good hands. Alwin discussed what we wanted but was also able to advise us from his years of experience. The photos are amazing and I would definitely recommend Alwin, it was lovely to have him at our wedding day. Thank you Alwin you are great.

Alwin was the perfect photographer for our event. He was great at making us all relax and enjoy the experience and he gave really good advice for how to stand and pose. He had his eye on every detail - Dad got a phone in his pocket making his jacket hang funny, Alwin will spot it, fascinator blocking someone else's face, Alwin will stop it, feet in an odd position Alwin will correct it. This means we have loads of perfect shots to treasure. The composition of the pictures are on point with backgrounds perfectly centred, finer details like reflections in mirrors and windows considered and he came up with ideas for interesting and different poses and backdrops. Couldn't be more pleased with the results.

What a great experience with Alwin.He is such a laugh but also knew how to organise people for formal photos.We had both our pre wedding shoot and wedding day photographed by Alwin. It was one of the most important investments for our wedding as the pictures will last a lifetime!

We booked Alwin to photograph our 4 month old son and he was fantastic! From the moment we arrived he made us feel so welcome and relaxed. We’d sent a couple of photos ahead of the shoot so Alwin knew what type of shots we wanted but he had some lovely ideas which worked really well and he managed to capture so many beautiful photos. Alwin also photographed us as a family and made my husband and I feel really at ease. He was so professional throughout and was amazing with our baby boy working so hard to get the perfect shot, which he did! We are over the moon with our photographs and can’t stop looking at them!
