Trans Pennine Trail National Office

Cycled the section of the Trail from York to Selby (NCR 65) & back again, following old railway line, traffic free cycle paths and roads mainly through quiet villages. The route out of Barlby is ok but the signage into Selby is a bit vague and at one point takes you onto the edge of the River Ouse, the track becomes unrideable, which may because we missed a sign, so continued on the main road, we were only going as far as the Abbey before returning to York. Excellent day out.

Fantastic place to walk cycle or ride a horse room for all.

On Barnsley doorstep really good paths easy walking ideal for cycling. Number of routes to take for a short walk or more adventures hike. Ideal for all ages and abilities. Number of seats and beaches on routes. A short detour from the main path takes you to the old Barnsley Main Pit, worth a visit part of our industrial history.

Lovely walks especially if you have dogs bike trail lovely views
