Fantastic service, was very grateful for help today when part of the underneath of my car came away very noisily. Service with a smile was hugely appreciated.

Avoid at all cost..Edwards Vehicle Services LtdI used Joe Edwards (Edward Vehicle Services Ltd) to have a clutch fitted after he promised me a great rate but failed to issue a quote as I requested.Car was dropped off in February, wasn’t finished until May!! Which is bad enough.Then he charged me more than a Honda Main Dealer had quoted.Upon querying the invoice as labour hours charged were way more than the auto data book time and more than Main Dealer, he advised me he would sort it out. He had also charged me for fluids which I had supplied.Whilst waiting for revised invoice I then got a late payment charge on my invoice. He later explained he decided he wasn’t changing it and had charged the excessive hours because he didn’t have the correct tool to do the job and had to buy it?? Also said car was on his ramp waiting for parts.He then sent an online court claim to my previous address so I had no way of appealing. Judge made default judgement because I was unable to appeal as judgement had been made.I paid it, Just to stop any CCJ’s.You have been Warned!!!Disgusting way to run a business!!!

Great service at Edwards Vehicle Services. Successfully diagnosed a fault (slightly banging noise) on my VW that had been mis-diagnosed by two previous garages including the VW dealer. Repaired quickly and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Fabulous service and very fair pricing. Recently bought a Saab Convertible that needed Brake Discsand Pads as well as 2 new tyres. Booked in by knowledgeable chap and works carried out as promised. Turned out the discs didn't fit so another more expensive set fitted same day - slight increase in quote but no mark-up charged. Would highly recommend this honest business.

So annoyed with experience today. Booked to get 5 tyres fitted through blackcircles for a 2pm slot. Requested tracking and alignment as an extra service. Dropped car off late morning - returned at 4pm then had to wait another hour until the car was ready. Already caused complications with my work and arrangement to pick kids up from nursery. Then told there had been issues with seized parts for alignment and there would be labour charges - OK fine, but every mechanic i have ever had work done with previously will contact you if scope of agreed work changes, so price just doubled and i can't do anything about it other than pay. I then enquired about how the back left wheel was as it was what i had concerns over (on 4x4 car) only to be told that only front wheels had been aligned and if i wanted 4 wheel alignment i should go to ATS. Brilliant, so i just paid double for wheel alignment that i now need to get done again somewhere else. The mechanic said 'well did you ask if it was 4 wheel?' ... 'Did you tell me it was only two?' Didn't appreciate the shift of blame in my direction. I haven't had a chance to look at the tyres yet cos it's dark now - they've probably done a brilliant job, but i've left with a real sour taste in my mouth and it's down to communication more than anything. Tell your customers if the scope/price of a job changes, tell your customers if your car isn't going to be ready 3 hrs after you scheduled the job to start. Don't leave your customers waiting in reception for an hour and charge them double without telling them. That's just general good business practice. Safe to say i won't be rushing back.

Joe the owner was able to tell me the problem within minutes of dropping the car off at his premises. It had a loud noise coming from the water pump, the bearing were failing, he asked me to leave the car with him so he could work on it the next day if I could to allow him to work on the problem the next dayHe gave me a cost and when I picked up the car which is a BMW, the cost had slightly increased but not that much. I was happy with his work and would not hesitate to recommend Edwards Vehicle Services Limited to anyone. I've had my MOTs carried out by Joe in the past and I was pleased with his work - David Broscombe
