I had previously taken my watch to the Watch Hospital for a new battery to be told that it was not a battery problem and the watch had failed. I had been quoted £70 to £100 for a repair at various places. I went to In Time for another opinion, thinking that I would either have to buy a new watch or pay for the repair. Tim immediately found that there was a problem with the alignment of the battery installation so the watch had not failed. I got a new battery for £10 complete with 18 month guarantee. I am really pleased to have found In Time and will definitely be going back.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! If I could give it less than one star I would. We came here wanting my engagement ring sized up as quick as possible (wanted it for engagement meals and you know... so I could wear it). We had been told by other jewellery repair shops around 2 weeks, other than one other quite a distance away recommended by a friend that would do it in 2 days, although they weren't open till the day after, so when we were told here that they were meant to say 3-4 days but usually 1-2 we jumped on it. What a mistake. We went in 4 days after since we hadn't been called where we were told that 4 days was crazy and that she was only sending it THAT DAY. That day guys... we gave it them 4 days before. She told us she would rush it through though and get it done in the next four days. We went in again 4 days later where we were told again... nope it's not back yet. Got a call later saying that she called the workshop and it was on their desk and they were sending it first class the next day and it would be there Saturday for definite. Saturday is a day before two weeks since we sent it in, so no point to paying for it to be quicker. Engagement meals have passed, there's no ring on my finger, and guess what? Got a call today to say it hasn't come in the post, the workshop is closed so they can't check where it is and they're hoping it will be back Monday. The customer service is shocking, they've been rude to us (making out we lied the first person told us 4 days because 2 weeks is standard apparently, but it won't even be back in that two weeks as standard bracket now). But yeah, my ring is missing, my family haven't even seen the ring in person and I'm raging. I cant even comment on the quality of the repair because i haven't got it.

I have visited twice recently. Once for a watch battery, done in an hour, and once to ask about possible restringing of a necklace, when a prompt quote was given, but advice freely given that it was probably not justified by the poor quality of the artificial pearls. Well done for honest opinion! We shall return.

Had a watch strap that wouldn’t clasp, visited a few well known watch repair shops who told me nothing could be done or wanted to charge large sums. Saw this stall by chance and he explained the issue instantly and fixed it right there. He didn’t even charge! Highly recommend, clearly knows his stuff.

I was very impressed at the time and effort taken by the gentleman at our In-Time Watch booth in Preston to source a new clasp for my Seiko watch. I was also only charged £10. Brilliant service.

Took my watch for new battery and link adjustment. He couldn't get the back off though. He phoned me and told me my watch would have to be sent away if I wanted a new battery. Anyway, I went to the guy in Fishergate Centre and he fixed it all in about 15 minutes.

Amazing service was given to my mum and Step dad. My step dad took his watch in to be fixed. The man cleaned it all and did a factory reset and gave a new battery for a very good price, he was honest about having to do a factory reset (which was a touch of a button) instead of lying a having to do a lot of work on it. Genuine people are hard to come by so thank you very much

My wife had the battery replaced in her watch In June 2022 and was told the work was guaranteed for 18 months. The watch stopped working and in October we went back with the credit card receipt for £49.95. The manager Chris told us we needed the certificate that they give out for work done (which we did not have) He was not prepared to change the battery or check his records for confirmation of the transaction. This is appalling customer service, I will never use them again.Good news is that we found a repair shop in the Debenhams centre that replaced the battery for £25.

The issue with my watch couldn't be replicated properly at the time I took it in (which is extremely typical of issues. When pulling the crown into its outermost position to adjust the time, it often skips back as if the crown is pushed back in, making it difficult to set to different times). Chris said he'd take it and have a look, for free I might add, and to pop back in an hour. Upon return, he said he couldn't find the issue but had reset the watch and set the correct date/time. I got home and of course i managed to make it do the thing... Good experience but a bit of a shame that they couldn't diagnose anything.

Watch taken in as had stopped. I thought that the battery was at fault but when Chris opened it up he established that although the battery was on full charge the watch had stopped due to a fleck of something that had blocked the second hand dial. As a result Chris cleaned and sealed the watch for me but did not need to change the battery, thus saving me the cost. This is a tribute to his integrity as he could quite easily have just left the battery in but still charged me. His honesty and professional manner are a credit to him and the company.
