Just had a really good lunch, very tasty and reasonable prices. Bacon + brie sandwich for me and delicious steak + ale pie for my girlfriend.Highly recommend!

Went to this pub. Excellent place and hospitality by Paula and Bekky (manager) had made our experience good. We ordered children menu and the kids loved it. With the kids play area was the icing on the cake. You have darts and billiards.. it's to go place in Colchester for family for a drink and food along with family time... True British pub with Sunday roast.. as expected was full to the brim. With a very big garden space it's and to go place.

Went there to see if they were showing the West Ham game and was told they did not have Sky, still had to pint of Guinness, which was very good.I did leave but what I did see, it was very nice.

The Half Butt Inn
It's open again!Lovely pub with a huge beer garden complete with climbing frame for the kids.We went once before but they were shutting down so I think they must be under new management.They didn't have any menus so the waiter had to talk us through what they did have which as it was a Sunday was roast anyway.They served it in a huge Yorkshire pudding and the portion wasn't too big or small and was quite tasty.

Came here for a meal as we were staying in the area. It was lovely. The landlady was so friendly and polite and the service was really quick. Food was amazing and fresh lovely chips not all grease. Came back the next day and tried a pizza and chilli and it again was lovely. Service again was quick and the bar staff lovely despite it being a Friday night
