Unfortunately gone down hill , went for my wife birthday 3rd year on the trot. But it was very poor . Waited to be seated then waited for.drinks , food was tasteless even my granddaughter didn't like it, the chicken very dry and burnt , just poor all round , what has happened??????

Very good value and tasty food. The building was a post office They had retained the theme and we sat in an old post van that had been fitted with a table and benches. it was a great unusual experience. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very tasty dishes. Lots of vegetarian and one vegan option. Really enjoyed. Nice interior and friendly staff. Update Dec 2020: very very tasty beetroot vegan burger! Well done! Update Dec 2023: excellent vegan burger and other vegan dishes, including dessert!

Excellent service throughout, friendly and courteous staff. Food was equally good, had an lovely roast dinner and it was a generous portion. Very much enjoyed it and will be going again.

Brilliant pub. The staff are genuinely second to none, the manager by chance personally greeted us, explained the menu and etiquette (my first English pub as an Aussie) and checked in frequently after pouring a solid room temp beer. The food was magnificent.A beautifully warm cosy place, with a real fire. Great atmosphere, my only complaint was after a short time the Christmas songs began to repeat. Maybe only 20 songs? (We stayed a few hours)Otherwise faultless pub with brilliant staff.

20 of us had out Christmas meal, pat’e starter bread not toast, main meal looked like it been cooked in one massive pot then spooned onto the plates, potatoes dry, stuffing like bullets. We ate here last Christmas & it was excellent, this year, no live music & no coffee & mince pies at the end, however the staff were excellent and friendly, to sum up no atmosphere and very poor food ,wouldn’t rush back.

Six out of five stars!!! Super fun atmosphere and great food surrounded by friendly staff. I had the chicken & steak and it was amazing. I could stay for hours. Be sure to walk down the road to the Heath afterwards if you’re interested in a stroll through medieval history.

We had a great time the food was very good the staff very friendly and helpful. We were shown to our seats very quick and our drink order was taken and came fast . There is a lot of choice on the adult and kids menu my little girl had a pizza I had the chicken mixed grill and my wife had the butter milk chicken burger . All our food was hot and very tasty it was all good value for money.The way the place is decorated is very interesting my little girl loved it I would definitely recommend coming here I live in Cambridge and will be making the trip back to eat here again
