Sea Kayak Devon

Great trip for all levels of ability. Trip was paced to match the groups experience which meant we weren't left waiting for less experienced people and were able to explore lots of different areas

I booked a full day for 2 adults and a 5 year old. The instructor Simon was absolutely great and put us at ease. My wife was a little hesitant at first, but racing down the river by the end of the day. We managed 3 beach breaks, 2 with fire and marshmallows. It was worth every penny and we’re so glad we did the full day, or the experience would have finished far too soon.

Our guide Elisabeth was immense, absolutely lovely and full of interesting facts! (She also took photos for us). It was a gorgeous, sunny, afternoon and we had a super relaxing journey with the tide on our side. The stop off at the hidden beach was a big bonus! We'd definitely do it again and recommend to anyone!

Fabulous afternoon kayaking around the coast of Dartmouth and out to the mouth of the estuary, despite the awful weather! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our instructor, a lovely lady (apologies we can’t recall her name) was full of interesting information about the area and very proficient and friendly. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend sea kayak Devon.

Really enjoyable half day. We went as a family group of 4 with 1 child in a double kayak, so mixed abilities.Guide was very good.Stopped by the cove at the castle and fire/marshmellows.We did the park & ride which worked out really well.Wish I would have brought my waterproof camera! You can put your stuff in waterproof bags, but i struggled to get my stuff out of the kayak holder.

Went 16/10/2023 on the Hidden Devon half day trip with my 14yr old son and we both loved it. I have been kayaking a few times but my son had not but no fear as our guide and instructor James was both knowledgeable and friendly and my son was soon off paddling away.Due to the weather we went up the river Dart rather than out to sea and got to explore some of the wrecks just off the main river, saw several Herons that flew over us a few times, a cormorant diving into the water just in front if us as well as some seals having a snooze on a pontoon, which we kept a respectful distance from.Paddled all the way up to Dittisham and stopped for some marshmallows over a small fire. Lovely.James was full of interesting chat the whole time and knew the river and conditions well, so it wasn't too much hard work, but there were some fun moments when it did get choppy, which added to the adventure.On the way back down we had a young seal who decided to follow us and play a little, which was exciting.The team provided all the gear, even including a tassle for my glasses so I wasn't at risk of losing them. We both really enjoyed it and I would definitely do this again!

Myself and my 2 Daughters had the most amazing afternoon with James, kayaking the coastline and not to mention the toasting of marshmallows and a new winner!I would highly recommend this company and will use them again when we are in the area.Thanks again for everything.Diane, Maria and Hannah

Had a fantastic trip with dave, kayaked round the headland and down the coastline. Stopped off for a few marshmallows, light bite to eat and a campfire (awesome touch!). Lucky enough to see a seal on the return and battle the tide back up the estuary. Would highly recommend! 5⭐️

Elisabeth was a perfect guide and gave us the best experience on a trip from Dartmouth. She adapted to those in the group and took amazing care of us. Wonderful guide and wonderful company. Would 100% take another trip with Sea Kayak Devon.
