Gerard has repaired several pieces for us ... sometimes just a piece of furniture of a sentimental value, where in all honestly the cost of repair possibly exceeded the monetary value of the piece but also some pieces of genuinely high value. All repairs are done to a really high standard - one piece was valued, after a major repair to a door that had split into two, by a well know local valuer. The valuer (the valuation was for probate) commented that the piece was of museum standard" in both quality and its pristine state. The repair had to be pointed out to the valuer

Gerard mended an Edwardian elbow chair for me which had a broken arm and a piece of the wood missing , I am very pleased with it .
