Letchworth Outdoor Pool

Has been years since the last time I was here but great to see how well it's been kept. Almost iconic outdoor pool with plenty of space. Water temperature was 26.4C but felt warmer than this, very pleasant.

Went on a very warm day. Clean pool, surroundings are pleasant and lots of space. Cafe/tuck shop was fine. Reasonably priced to get in. Well supervised. Cute toddler pool. Pool could of been a couple of degrees warmer though.

Left it a bit late in life to start swimming but enjoying using the site before it closes for the winter. The pool itself is 50m and heated. It's pretty clean considering it's outdoors. Could do with a refresh of paint during the winter. The changing rooms are in need of a revamp. The decor is tired and a lot of the lockers are broken but don't let this out you off. It's fairly priced and gives concessions and blue light card holder discounts as well.

For a day out, what more could you ask for, an open-air swimming pool, 9ft deep end to a 2ft shallow end and not forgetting a toddler pool to keep the paddlers and little ones entertained, fully qualified and staffed life guards on duty to keep you safe and uphold the swimming rules whilst you enjoy the heated water of the pool, full changing rooms, and a grass area, for those that do not want a dip in the pool and just want to lay on a blanket and sun bathe instead and for those that get a bit peckish, there is a little restaurant and shop so you can have a spot of lunch of Burger and Chips and an Ice Cream to follow, or just a Slushy to cool down, parking just outside and a playground for those that still need to run off some steam.A brilliant day out for all the family, at a low cost, maximum fun experience.

What an absolute gem! Visited for the first time on Friday and had a truly marvellous swim. Friendly staff, who made us feel safe, and welcome. This is an amazing, retro (1935) venue with a classic municipal layout. Were I in Government I'd put one in every county!Tip: Bring 20p for locker. Also, the adjoining car-park is 3rd-party (pay for-parking) and not managed by the venue; we noticed a penalty-notice stuck to someone's windscreen.

Strangely although the water wasn't all that warm, on the day we went, it was warmer in the water than out,Must be said that the pool and surrounding decks and grass were clean and tidy. There were 4 lifeguards on duty.

Great place to sunbathe and swim on a warm day - does get v busy on peak heatwave days so I prefer to go on quieter days. Large pool with lane swimming available for the serious swimmers. Staff and lifeguards always friendly. Reasonably priced. Toilet and changing facilities reasonable and ice cream sold on site. Take change for parking.

Great day out during the September heatwave yesterday! not been to this pool this year, but arrived fairly early and just got a spot in the car park (full on hot days!). It was packed, but still felt safe for the kids and had plenty of life guards on duty. The pool could do with a clean, but you do expect this towards the end of the season... Would come again as reasonably priced, a large pool for a good swim and fun for the kids!
