Can't really fault the place: heaps and heaps of good, honest food for under a tenner, no waiting. Staff are always lovely (particularly Emma, on this occasion), picturesque views of the narrow boats at mooring. Only one ale on, but the Doombar (although rather too cold) was nice. Great for a midweek treat if you're starving hungry.

We have been visiting this carvery for many years when we have been in the area. We had some canal holidays from the marina next door and also as we've passed through via canal. The food has always been excellent. This visit was no different. Staff were lovely. The only thing that bothered me was they had the air conditioning on, and we were sat underneath one of the vents. We had our meals when it seemed to kick in, but it made the dinner go cold very quickly. I did ask if it could be altered but apparently it wasnt possible. I just thought it was bizarre being as it was chilly out. Also only one cubicle in the ladies loo was working. You know us ladies go in pairs lol. These are minor details. Main thing was good food, nice staff and an enjoyable lunch. Thank you.

Great to have a typical carvery after a long wet rainy and gloomy day in October. Place is clean and decorated in the spirit of Halloween. Waitress very polite and friendly. Makes you feel like you are home"."

The food was lovely, very yummy. Even my 7year old ate all of his food. . . But it took nearly 40mins for the dessert to come out and they was all very simply puddings. Maybe you should have some designated staff members that just focus on preparing and bringing puddings out

What was great was the customer service and knowledge of the customer. What was awful was the meal. The beef was fatty and inedible and the vegetables were cold.We are regular visitors and known to the staff as not persistent moaners. They without hesitation did not charge us even though we were happy to pay for what we did eat.

Location is the best part of this pub. Doombar is okay but the sandwiches are cheap and not good value. Roast potatoes aren’t edible and house salad is lettuce and a couple of tomatoes with raw carrots. Won’t be back that’s for sure

Marie was out waitress, she was amazing, very attentive, helpful and caring. She helped my nan 89 yrs old to carry her plate back to table. We ordered the salmon and prawn wellington and she checked they would be ready in time so we could all go to the carvery together.

I have never been to a Tony Carvery before and was happy to go with a friend (it’s one of her favourite restaurants). The food was amazing and there was loads of choices of meat and veg. Prices were great and if you have a big appetite you can pay an extra £1.99 for a huge plate. Young kids eat for 99p. The staff members I met were friendly and made sure we had every thing we needed. The only drawback was the fact that the restaurant was a little tired looking, with some water damage and re-painting needed. None of which would put me off from eating here again :)
