Hell yeah, Shell, Max and Ellis served us all and the food was brought quickly, hot and high quality! Warm inside as well, nice lighting and Christmas tree, good vibes, cheap enough as well!Hope your shifts weren't terrible :)

Good food and atmosphere, well attended and very much enjoyed my time here.Always consistent, highly recommend.Thank you Shell, Ellis and Catie for the wonderful service, and James and Owen for the great food for our group's Xmas meal.

It didn’t start well, we were 15 mins early but there was nowhere to sit to await our table. Staff told my son (13) and his grandmother “you can’t stand here” as opposed to “would you mind moving into the eating area as under 18s aren’t allowed into this area etc” bar area staff so rude when ordering drinks and had a total lack of interpersonal skills. We were shown to our tables by a lovely girl and 10 minutes later ordered our food, not being told there was a 50 min delay on food being served. Food was nice, hot, and good value. The eating area was very noisy.

A nice enough pub with decently priced drinks and food. It's a chain pub and I wouldn't' say it's anything special but a reliable place for a quick/cheap bite to eat or a couple drinks. The staff are very friendly and there are usually some sort of food deals on the go.On initial impression there doesn't seem to be much parking but after confirming with the staff they said it was fine to park in the Travel Lodge car park behind the pub, as it belongs to the Black Bull apparently.

We were staying at the travelodge and went to book dinner after check in to be rudely told we couldn't book. We were told we would have to just come in and see if there was a free table other than that there was a pub down the road or we could do a click and collect and eat in our room. We decided to try and get a table and luckily we got one. The new staff were much more pleasant however the food wasn't fantastic.We also went for breakfast. Again the food wasn't great and the bacon tasted of burnt steak fat, probably from the night before. We wouldn't eat there again I'm afraid.

Staff were very friendly. Food was ok, corn was still frozen. Ellis our server was very apologetic about it when clearing the table. Burgers were very good.

Reasonable prices but less than mediocre quality. The service is almost non-existent. Order and extra piece of lemon for the fish and chips but they refused to give me !!!
