Variable. The cappuccino was just a milky coffee with the scarcest of foam that vanished in 30 seconds. The toasted teacake" was cold and white

Amazing breakfast, very friendly staff and very clean and beautifully decorated cafe, reasonably priced and also great coffee only two mins from main route to Darlington and about 5 mins drive from Teesside Airport will definitely be popping in for breakfast again

5 Star experience. I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict selection from the menu. The wait time was really quick, the food was of an excellent quality and the staff were attentive and really pleasant. The atmosphere was great and cleanliness spot on! I will be paying another visit soon!! Thank you MJs for the delicious food!!

Organised my friends baby shower at MJs where we had afternoon tea. We had sole use of the downstairs area. The staff were all lovely and accommodating. The afternoon teas were absolutely delicious, plus we had a vegetarian and vegan who were well catered for as well!

The most beautiful little cafe...if you've seen the building as it was before, you'll appreciate just how much time, effort and thought has gone into making this place look as gorgeous and welcoming as it is.Lovely relaxed vibes amongst the place, it's always busy and to me that speaks volumes.The food - I've never had bad food here. The roast beef baguettes and roast potatoes are divine and enough to feed 2 people! The pancakes always light and fluffy with a freat selection of toppings. My son said they were the fluffiest pancakes he's ever had! The breakfasts are beautiful, with the best quality ingredients. The sweet treats are always 100% too, always a fab variation of products on the counter.The service is always 100% - Millie is amazing, a credit to the cafe. So polite and can't do enough for you. Claire is always lovely and friendly also and Lee is great, always makes us laugh! Shalona is always present in the cafe makes time to say hello to her customers even when busy in the kitchen! If there's something you want tweaking slightly, they will go out of their way to make you happy.Absolute gem of a place which I will always shout from the rooftops about!

Had 2x English breakfast, food was nice but took 40mins to arrive, got a free brownie on way out in way of apology for the wait. Waiters where really friendly.

MJ's Cake Cafe
My friend and I discovered this gem this morning by chance. The café is clean and well decorated and the choice of food for either brunch, lunch or snacks is impressive. The staff were super helpful and friendly. I tried one of their fluffy pancake dishes and was not disappointed. Highly recommend this café and will be returning with out a doubt.

The food from MJ'S is unbelievable. The breakfasts are 10/10 as are all the homemade fresh cakes aswell.Coffee is fantastic.Dog friendly inside.The shop is immaculate and tastefully decorated. Staff are fast really friendly and efficient and can't do enough for you. I love it in here. Can't fault it at all.

Despite MJ's being open for a little while, this was the first opportunity to visit. Both my wife and I enjoyed Eggs Benedict and a Latte. The staff were really polite and helpful, the food was excellent (hot coffee makes a nice change compared to other well known places) and the building is clean and bright with excellent decor. Well done to all involved in this new venture, we will certainly be back!!
