Steak pie only had 4 tiny bits of beef in it. The 'mash' was over microwaved and hard at the edges.

I really enjoyed my main meal unfortunately my wife didn't really like her burger. The apple pie and custard was nice. The apple pie could have been defrosted better as it had a doughy feel to the base when i was eating it. My wife enjoyed her sweet.

This pub is one of many that allows motorhome stop overs. We ate there on Friday evening, two meals for £12! I was amazed, gammon was superb. Good value beer, friendly staff. The best Stella and black I've had for ages. We are not local but will definitely return.

The food I ordered was great and it came quite quick. the well done steak I ordered was near perfection in the texture and The pub is dog friendly. the place had amazing service and The people who served me and my family, which was a guy and a woman who I unfortunately can't give credit to yet as I forgot they're names,checked up on us frequently and had exquisite manners. I will definitely definitely go again.

Spent a highly enjoyable day at Lytham St Annes beach, traditional family beach and fantastic day out, ended our day at the Shovels. The perfect end to the perfect day. Sat outside in the beer garden, fantastic cheerful staff, excellent service and delicious food, dog friendly too.Lovely place with great staff, highly recommended.

Visited for the first time in years early evening on a Tuesday in October for tea.Surprised how busy it was - we didn't book, but just about managed to get a table, many were reserved but quite a few remained unoccupied for all the time we were there which seemed odd. So probably best to book ahead even on a day when you'd expect it to be quiet.The place is lovely. Excellent staff and good food with very good prices.

Daughter loves the burgers, says they're the best ever. The food has always been tasty and good portion size. Friendly staff, and nice atmosphere.
