I was looking for professional help after my gp said I might have a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance or that my 6 week old was maybe allergic to dairy (but didn’t advise how to solve the issue!) and I found and got in contact with Amber - I cannot recommend her enough! Amber came for a home visit that same week and helped immensely with advice and different feeding positions to help both baby get a better latch and me be so much more comfortable! I really felt like she listened to all my concerns and made me feel very at ease. After a week or so of following her advice and using the new feeding position my baby is so much less fussy and much happier! She has also been checking in frequently to see how things are going and if anything needs to be tweaked. I really recommend getting in contact with Amber if you have any breastfeeding questions or just need reassurance!

I contacted Amber after another Mum friend had recommended her to me. I was 5 days postnatal with my first baby and had just come home from hospital with incredibly sore nipples and difficulties with latching baby and positioning. Amber was so incredibly calm, helpful, patient and informative. She visited me at home and helped me troubleshoot lots of different positions and really educated me on breastfeeding and the skill learnt by both Mum and baby - tailoring specifically to me and giving me lots of space and time to practice with her guidance. I was so impressed by the follow up text messages to check-in over the following weeks and continued support and advice that followed. She truly helped me on my breastfeeding journey and without her support I don’t think we would have continued. We are almost 4 weeks in so still a long way to go and lots of learning left to do but I feel much more confident after Ambers support!

I messaged Amber when my little one was around 10 days old and I was struggling with breastfeeding and his latching. Despite it being the Christmas/NY period, she responded extremely quickly and arranged to come see us within a matter of days (offering a video call in the interim).I found Amber very helpful, considerate and understanding. The home visit was not rushed at all and she watched my baby feeding and helped with the latching which has been great. He has been latching almost immediately since.Thanks to Amber we asked for a referral to a tongue tie specialist which confirmed that our son was tongue tied which has also helped our breastfeeding journey. The after care from Amber has also been fantastic.Would not hesitate to recommend Amber to any mum who is either struggling with breastfeeding or is just seeking confirmation that what they are doing is right!

Amber is the reason we are still breastfeeding. 3 weeks into our BF journey, we’d already sought help from groups, helplines and friends - but receiving such a varied span of advice, it all felt very overwhelming. We were struggling with regaining birth weight, had latch issues and some painful nipple trauma. Amber helped us with all of these issues. She was patient, practical and incredibly knowledgeable- everything she advises is evidence based and her passion for her work is obvious. Dont wait as long as we did, book Amber if you have any issues and it will make the world of difference to your BF experience.

I contacted Amber to arrange a home visit however after a few messages Amber advised that a home visit wouldn’t be required. She gave me some fantastic advice and information to read. Breastfeeding an older baby can feel very lonely but Amber made me feel seen and supported. Amber is very knowledgable and is clearly very passionate about her job!

My daughter lost 11% of her birthweight on day 3 after she was born. Our hospital policy was to start topping up with formula which made me concerned because i wanted to breastfeed and i knew babies get used to bottles very easily. This was the same day that my breastmilk came in. On the following days i kept asking the midwives to help me with my breastfeeding because i knew i had enough milk for my daughter but i was not managing to help her to feed correctly. We ended up being readmitted on the hospital and due to all the stress that this caused me I lost most of my milk supply.I was ready to give up breastfeeding and i decided to contact Amber as a last resort. She came home the day after and helped me understand that my current supply was around 30ml per feed. She suggested us a feeding plan compatible with coming back to breastfeeding and different things that we could do to increase my milk supply like switching sides during a feed or how to do pacing feeding with the bottle so we could clearly see when our daughter was full.Thanks to all her advice i made peace with combi feeding and i was happy that at least i could give my daughter some breastmilk. I noticed that after a few days i was getting more expressed milk after feeds and that my daughter was taking less and less from the bottle.One night while breastfeeding i noticed that my daughter was starting to fall asleep at the breast. After she finished feeding we offered her the bottle and she didn’t want it. The day after she practically rejected all the top ups so after a couple of days we decided to stop offering them to her.It has been more than a month since then. Now i’m only breastfeeding my daughter and she is putting weight really well :).Amber was incredibly supportive during the whole process answering my doubts and checking my progress. I’m so glad i decided to not give up and give it a last try.

Amber was able to provide a home visit which was arranged really efficiently. She provided amazing advice and has been so supportive trying to navigate a difficult feeding journey for my 4th child. She is friendly and knowledgeable and most of all it really felt she cared. I highly recommend Amber!
