Weir Wood Bird Hide
Spacious and well kept. Perfect location to see birds with information on the walls. If you like bird watching it's a good place.Sunset in the sailing club (close to this) are beautiful. The only downside is that there are no walks around.

Great hide to watch the birds and good opportunity to learn something new about the species. The hide is well looked after, car park is large and clean. Also can have family picnic around. Big thanks for the people who's looking after it.

Went at 18.30 and was no one about, unfortunately I can imagine that once darkness fulls the local idiots may pay a visit

This hide was an unexpected surprise. Lovely little decorated and furnished with seats and wall charts listing all the expected birds and wildlife. Unfortunately, the zoom on my camera was not up to the challenge of the Cormorants and swans on the other side of the reservoir. There are bird feeders just in front of the hide, allowing people with poor zooms a chance of photographing something lol. The hide is situated in the Weir Wood reservoir car park. It's free to park here and there are enough spaces for ten cars

It’s a nice stone building, in a wonderful location, but which gets often abused by local kids. On a rainy Saturday at about lunchtime, I have witnessed three youths in their twenties (who arrived in a black car), getting in the bird hide with beer and leaving it with a strong smell of alcohol and smoke. I had to open all of the windows to clear the smoke they had left. Other than that, it’s really sad and plain ugly to have bars at the windows. Not a place where I would like to go back to.
