Trustworthy and reliable. Have been taking my cars here for years. Good labour rate and will only do work that needs doing and can usually fit you in when emergencies arise.

Took my car for an MOT, came back marked with a large scratch on the side. Turned out to be some sort of paint?!? Bad parking maybe.

A very good family run company competitive and helpful.I did notice the bad reviews were from people who couldn't or wouldn't put a name to it. Even if they did go there at least three times anyway.If you want to be ripped off go to a main dealer....Have used this garage for 20 years, highly recommended...

Disappointing.......I booked my vehicle in for repair, before the weekend.When I arrived on Monday, the negative attitude of the gent on the reception was very upsettingHe refused to accept the vehicle had been booked in. Until he saw it in the diary.Then he wouldn't accept it was to be returned to my home, which was suggested on the phone, as I was going on holiday for 2 weeksHe then gave an inflated estimate ( over £1000.00 ).In the end I decided to go elsewhere.

Been a loyal customer of Lingard Motors since 2007, and here's why. I've never had a bad experience with them, work was always carried out within the time given at a fair price, all my cars since 2007 have been MOT'd there, and to top if off, due to the high quality of service i've received over the past 9 years, i wont take my cars anywhere else. The reason i feel compelled to give them an on-line feedback report is due to the level of service i received today, they literally bent over backwards to help me out of a tight spot. Car failed MOT on some pretty expensive to fix problems and they called me straight away and gave me the low-down on what it would cost to put it right, i was expecting a problem with exactly the thing the car failed on but the cost to fix it is way past what i'm prepared to spend fixing an 9 year old car. Knowing i have a medical issue and money is tight, one of their guys sorted me out a nice little run-around for what i could afford, never had a mechanic from any other garage help me out of a hole like these guys did today. I really can't understand the negative comments on this page but i'm not going to let comments from people who don't have the balls to identify themselves change my mind, i've only ever received fantastic service from the garage and i will continue to use them for as long as they're in business.

My 81 year old mother, a loyal and now ex customer, was declined a lift home or even the courtesy offer of phoning a cab for her so suffered an hours uphill walk ( 5 minute lift ) in the rain with a chronic knee condition. Chivalry as well as customer service is indeed dead. Shame on you.

I have been taking my car to Lingards for several years for servicing and MOTs. The mechanics are all very cheery and good date their jobs. Friendly on the phone too. They always explain fully what they are doing and don't make me feel like a silly girl"."
