Our local very friendly and welcoming. Visited tonight just myself and my partner but we also come in with the kids as it’s family friendly. Great food and service.

6 out of 5 on everything frankly this place is fantastic.The atmosphere is perfect, the staff are super helpful and attentive. The food is absolutely amazing. I can't stop going back.Extra thanks to chef Dan who prepared out excellent food and Mario who provided exemplary service this evening.

Been to this establishment twice and had zero complaints, even left good reviews. This time I brought my family with me but to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I had asked when we are here before whether the Sunday Dinner came with mashed potatoes. Mario told me not to worry as if they didn’t I could order some. We ordered our food and I asked could we have a side order of mash potatoes if the dinner doesn’t already come with it. First error was the wrong lager was served. Then after waiting for 1hr even though the pub was not busy our food eventually arrived. Roast potatoes were dried out. All the food came to the table and I asked for the side order of mash. Waitress never came back so my daughter approached the bar once I’d nearly finished my dinner and then she came over to apologise on behalf of the chef! My father was so hungry that he ate his steak and ale pie meal but did not enjoy it. Three of us has Sunday lunch and although it was okay and the meat was nice it far from blew me away. Considering it is a smokehouse I’ve had better from many carveries. I approached the bar and asked for Mario to be told he had left. I explained my experience to the barman who said he was in charge and informed him that I was disappointed and upset that I had brought my family out and although our company was excellent the food and service was not. I would have at least expected this to have been reflected in the final bill and resolved the issue so that we would try again. Unfortunately this was not the case and due to this experience and a bill of £125 for chicken wings, two burgers, steak and ale pie, 2 Sunday lunch and a small Sunday lunch and chicken nuggets we will not be returning. It is a lot of money to ‘waste’ when the food and service is not up to scratch. I would hope that the owners take this review seriously and contact me personally as I believe the service I received once I had complained was also inadequate. Booking made for a table of 7 at 2pm 05/11/23

Came here yesterday with my partner there was a problem with our table when we arrived as they haven’t received our booking. We spoke to Mario and despite the place being really busy he managed to sort us a table and I can honestly say he made us feel really welcome and made the whole experience. Food was amazing. The bonfire night evening was amazing also. Will definitely be back.

Food was really not good. I ordered the ribs and brisket with a blue cheese sauce. My ribs were really overcooked and the blue cheese sauce was off. Chips were overly salty. My grandad was given the wrong sauce for his meal. Nice server. Really poor

Booked a table for 5 for 18.00 on Saturday. Was pleased to see the rowdy bar area separated from the food area, via a double door. The beer garden area also looked lovely, and would love to come back and sit outside on a warmer day. Was serviced by wonderful member of staff called Linzi, and was told from the get go there would be a delay to our food as a massive just eat order had came in. She sorted us with 2 separate bills for our table as we were paying separate, and 2 rounds of drinks, making sure we had plenty of ice and some lemon slices for the delay. She made us smile with great, conversation and customer service skills. When the food did come, it was defiantly worth the wait as it was delicious, and we all cleared our plates. We will be ordering takeaway from just eat in the future, knowing how amazing the food is.

Very disappointed today with the meals my family and I ordered. Having waited a lengthy time for the food to arrive.We ordered the Sunday roast it consisted of 2,slices of processed roast beef, tasteless vegetables, Yorkshire pudding that was so over cooked we couldn't cut with a knife. Unfortunately this experience has lead me to do this review. The staff were friendly. The menu was varied however the food served was not acceptable. We did complain to the waitress.

Brilliant custom burger options to make a proper stack!Beef patty was delicious and paired beautifully with bacon jam.Tasty pulled pork too all in a nice bun.Really generous amount of brisket but it was very fatty and chewy unfortunately.Chips were crisp and fluffy with a good helping of red salt coating.The barman was a gem.Had me worried I wouldn't get my food because they had functions on but he sorted it for me.
