Excellent my third favourite shop in ayr...good staff prices are bit mean if you selling though

This was my first time selling a phone I no longer use and found at the back of a drawer. The staff guided me through the minefield of passwords and Google account settings needed to clear the phone. It was an easy process for them but I was bamboozled until they helped

Great selection of stuff. All over priced at the same time.This review has got the standard CEX response. We offer 2 year warranty. So this justifies the higher price.

Had some interesting stuff and the staff were friendly. Selling my old keyboard and mouse went smoothly. Would give 5 stars, but they didn't have the 3ds games I was looking for. Their gamecube, dreamcast and pc hardware offerings were genuinely much more impressive than their 3ds ones. I just wanted to pick up Bravely Default tbh.

Physical games are becoming much rarer these days and some rare games are physical only. CEX us a good way to get several of these games...barring some prices being ridiculously high due to games becoming like collectors items. I haven't had any complaints about CEX overall. Even grabbed a couple of games 3 days ago. Worth it.

Mostly good prices and a pretty wide selection of games and movies which is nice.That said, occasionally you do get given a disc that doesn't work or is from the wrong region, but that is rare.

****** Edited due to recent issues ***** Great service when I've been in. Good selection of goods. For those who have experienced faulty goods, this can happen in any shopping experience, new or secondhand (I worked for one of their competitors). I am adding to this as I have been refused a refund on a box set I purchased 3 days ago, even explaining that I would be happy to accept store credit as I spend a lot of money in the shop. They said that 2 days was the limit and they could offer me £9 to trade in when I spent £18 on it just a few days ago. I will be ordering online from now on as the returns policy is much better. So they have lost a good customer for the sake of a credit note, well done cex.

Daughter loves it here, good selection of DVDs and games at a reasonable price.

What can I say the staff seem to be so un-interested and they seem to like taking there time to do anything. Have been in a few times and they have little interest in being friendly or helpful. I won't be in there again. As for the stuff they sell some of the electrical items are way overpriced for at best second hand items. I'd leave a less than one star review if I could.....
