Total rip off that cost me over £1000 in medical fees. Was referred here from the Princess Grace Hospital A&E. The doctor told me that I broke my dominant wrist and put me in a cast. I got a second opinion 3 weeks later when i went back home to Singapore, who said that I hadn't fractured anything, and it would have been obvious from the start as there were literally no cracks (not even a hairline fracture). There was no sign of callus. The other doctor said that staying in my cast for too long would cause my muscles to become too weak, and to this day I struggle to write for a long period of time.It was agreed that i should come back after my trip home, but no appointment was made. I got a charge from bupa/medserv for £180 for a missed appointment that I don't even remember scheduling. I didn't get any calls about the charge, and was not even told I would be charged. this is after the x-rays and consultancy fees and follow-up fees that I paid in full. I don't know whether to pursue this because I genuinely don't have the resources or time to put up with a legal process. The doctor was very warm though. But i can't believe the overpriced fees for completely inaccurate medical judgement.
