Fish hurtles around a conveyor belt and you can just take it and eat it. Unbelievable. Kitchen staff are opposite you when you eat - I now know how much they get paid and who’s on shift tomorrow which is always great to know when you’re having lunch. There are better sushi bars in town but they’re not in Harvey Nichols.

For a 3 star review - I do go here a lot!It's a chain - it follows a format and that's great if you know what you want.The customer service here can be a bit dodgy at best, they forget your orders quite a bit and sometimes you can be waiting to be seated for a while, even if there are tables free!Still, they are nice enough - never rude - and it's never bad enough to stop me going!I love sushi!

Very friendly staff provided a fast and efficient service. Food off the belt was fresh, and food cooked to order arrived promptly. All food was absolutely delicious! Staff were particularly helpful in helping us work out whether one of the desserts was suitable for someone with a nut allergy, and were generally keen to engage in conversation and show an interest in what we were doing. Would definitely recommend going to this outlet of Yo!

Yo! Sushi serves entirely acceptable sushi - nothing fancy, nothing exceptionally fresh - but with reasonable rice and fish, it's enjoyable enough. The conveyor belt system is good for perusing your options and ensuring instant gratification - you want something, just pluck it off. There's liberal quantities of soy, ginger and wasabi as well, and still and sparkling water refills if you fancy.However, the bar-stool seats aren't comfortable, and everything seems well over priced for what's on offer, especially considering the portions are fairly wee. If you're feeling rich and starving, Yo! Sushi is an unremarkable, if inoffensive, place to eat lunch. Certainly not worth going out of your way for, though.

Yo Sushi generally can be variable and this branch is no exception. I've been there when the belt was absolutely full, and I've been there when a handful of unappealing, lonely plates are making their orbit, untouched. But generally, when it's good, it's good, and when it's bad, the staff have always made sure to notice, reduce the bill and be pretty apologetic, and that makes a huge difference to why I keep going back. Nice staff, easy experience, and my favourite branch of Yo Sushi.

I'm like a kid in a sweet shop when I go to YO! Sushi. All that delicious food whirring round on the conveyor belt has my mouth watering before I've even picked up my chop sticks.The food at YO! Sushi always tastes incredibly fresh and is well-prepared. The handy guide comes in really useful to help you identify dishes and to keep an eye on your total bill. The surroundings of the Fourth Floor also make for a lovely dining experience.With free miso refills and great food, I'm a huge fan of YO! Sushi and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

Very hit and miss really.We've had a couple of good experiences in Yo! and a couple of dreadful ones.You know what you're getting, food wise. It's unfussy sushi at a reasonable enough price but the staff service varies massively from month to month. Sometimes excellent, occasionally dreadful - you really don't know what you're going to get.Still, of you've got a voucher, or go on a day where an offer is one, it's possibly worth playing service roulette to have a nice meal.

I love it here! Choose different style of sushi & it travels around on a belt. Prices are set by dish colour, you get good portions & I met the best waiter here attentive & quick service! Loved it

Yo! Sushi - Edinburgh Harvey Nichols
Ok, so it may not be authentic, and it may not be traditional Japanese style - but I really love Yo! Sushi. I love the crispy squid, and the aubergine, I love the conveyor belt and pressing the button to place an order for a hot special, and I love how much fun it is. The staff are friendly, especially the head chef guy, who is chatty and 'hosts' from the kitchen, and the service has always been efficient when I've been. The variety isn't maybe as high as other branches and it can sometimes feel a bit crowded, but overall a tasty spot for a casual lunch.

A fun place to visit if you are after a quick bite to eat in the midst of a busy shopping day. Due to it's location, you can sometimes wait quite a while to get seated. This is mainly during peak hours, Saturday lunch for instance.As a large chain, you can be sure that the standards and quality are met to be the same as the other Yo! Sushi's.Usually good offers available if you sign up to the newsletters!
