The overall practice is great, the doctors are usually good, the receptionists are a lot more understanding and patient than most other practices, the only downside is that it's difficult to get an appointment when you need one as it always gets so busy.

It really is not a good centre if you have any other options you can get to go there instead. They are clearly understaffed and over subscribed. They don’t call back when they say they will or honour 111 call backs. The reception team sound numbed out to your situation, probably burnt out, and you cannot get an appointment for love more money and when you do get one they are often cancelled last minute. It should be in special measures as it’s not functioning as a centre and is in desperate need of support.

Didn't have to wait too long. I always feel like the doctors are on the clock, and you have to get out quickly.

While East Trees (formerly Maytrees) aren't perfect they do try the best with what they can in these busy & underfunded times. There are a few Doctors who I prefer not to deal with but most have been very helpful.I like the option of an online form for non urgent issues and I've always had a quick response with the information or in person appointment needed.I have called up and managed to get same day phone appointment which lead on to a same day in person appointment. While getting a text from a Doctor is a bit odd - it certainly is a quick and effective way to communicate and I'm all for that.Phones can be extremely busy in the morning (20 deep sometimes) but when I've got through the reception have been helpful.Great parking - which is not always the case and takes away some of the stress of a visit.

I have had so many issues with this GP surgery. Nothing is ever straightforward. You get refused on the day appointments for medical issues if the telephone staff don't think it's necessary and that's if they even talk to you. Also god forbid you should mention you need a repeat prescription put through because as soon as you say that, they will do anything they can to refuse you an appointment for your medical issue. I have been cut off after being hold for a while before on several occasions. The pharmacy never put the prescription slips in your prescriptions and if you order you prescription, sometimes it just doesn't get done for whatever reason and you're without your medication until someone actually does their job. I have had issues with getting my prescriptions almost every single time I've gotten low and tried to get more. I take numerous mediactions and when I don't have them I become ill both physically and mentally and I've needed to make further appointments to deal with these problems and that's something that could have been avoided if i was given my prescription so you tell me who is wasting NHS time by appointments that could have been given to someone else IF THEY PUT YOUR PRESCRITONS THROUGH IN THE FIRST PLACE, I WOULDN'T NEED AN APPOINTMENT? If you can go elsewhere, I highly recommend it. The telephone staff will barter with you on the phone and go through your records and talk to you about things you should really be discussing with your GP and avoid giving you an appointment at all costs, they argue with you to the point that you might get frustrated and lash out and then they can end the call but they antagonise until it gets to this point..? Also there text alerts for when your prescription actually arrives through, don't work and I have been given the wrong prescription a couple of times - I order one of my prescriptions and they give me a different one of my prescriptions. I can honestly say hand on heart. I have never in all my life come across such an incompetent surgery. Most of the receptionists are unhelpful and rude. The appointments run out so fast and that's strange considering they don't like giving them?. It honestly baffles me how they have any patients at all. Something needs to change.I would like to say though, on the 2 occasions (in the 5 months I've been with east trees) I have actually managed to see a GP, they have been amazing.

Imagine Waiting 50 mins to be connected, line is clear as can be listening to the music on hold, Get connected for someone to say hello, then hang up.. funny thing is this is the usual at most doctors, makes you think this is just the normal Behaviour of most receptionist, Cant Be bothered to actually do the job, and help people. Imagine these are the same people telling you to keep up to date with Your Vaxcines, Because they care... goes to show that is not the Case.. You could call back, as you know someone has waited nearly an hour to get through, Employ another receptionist, there are many solutions but im not sure they care to much for solutions that help The Community.. a guilty conscience at the end of the day when you see god. Will be your Judgement.
