Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre

Great place to visit. Lots of events held here including the National Triathlon Relays.

Tl;dr: They were going to take 6-7 weeks to refund £400 but I kicked off and they gave it back in 2.5 weeks. The activities themselves are great and the staff are nice too. EDIT! - after kicking off some more over email they fast tracked the refund so I gave them 2 more stars. 3* limit for hassle.Original 1* review: You have to pay in advanced, which is fine. They messaged me to cancel our rafting booking the day before because the river was too high, again - this is completely fine and they offered an alternative activity which was less than half the cost - great so far. Now trying to get the refund of nearly £400 and I have had to chase them for nearly 2 weeks, only to be told that their refund policy is that it can take *up to* 28 days to be in my bank account (never mind that I actually paid on credit card, not via a debit card). The 1 star is for the fact that the event staff were lovely and the actual activity was a good laugh, good value (albeit incredibly cold!). This refund policy is however totally unacceptable. I'd be surprised if it's even legal. I've yet to see the refund and if it goes by their timeline it might be 6-7 weeks after the cancelled event that I receive the refund.

Great place to walk, lots of trails and mainly flat so accessible for most. The water sports teams are also out practicing often which is impressive to watch.

Great whitewater park to train freestyle kayaking, several spots to progress in alongside some of the best in the WorldNote! Water quality is an issue there, so make sure you shower after training and deink some coke, it’s the secret medcine

Lovely place to visit. The only thing that prevented me giving this lovely place 5 stars was the awful road humps.

Just a great place to really develop your skills and experience proper white water in a controlled environment. Our canoe club regularly use the centre and we always enjoy our time here.
