Recently bought a house with the aid of Macfarlane young (specifically with lawyer Gary Burgess) to say it was a smooth process would be an understatement. This was due to Gary's efficiency and diligence. He was so thorough and communicative it made the process as easy as possible and we felt in very competent hands. What more could we ask for!? He advised me on location, what to look for when buying and was very generous with his time. He was in touch throughout to check in and advise on the market.He set me up with Gary Burgess who was my solicitor throughout my buying process. Gary’s attention to detail was second to none and is able to explain the complicated aspects of buying very simply. He spent time talking through the buying process and helping gauge realistic offers on properties and talking through the pros and cons of various home reports and also ensuring my future interests were protected throughout negotiations.Overall they made my buying process very stress free and I will be using this company again when I come to sell.10/10

Valarie O’Neil and staff acted on my behalf with sale and purchase of my in-laws house. At the same time I was using a solicitor recommended by our estate agents for the sale of our own house. The difference was night and day. Val was quick to reply and deal with issues as they arose and was highly competent in dealing with other solicitors. The bigger solicitors recommended by my estate agents did not come close to Mcfarlane and O’Neil.Some of the negative comments on here are not reflective of the experiance I had in the slightest.
