Very pleased from start to finish. Michael, who fitted the door, arrived on time and did a very good job. He answered any questions we had and was very professional.when He had finished fitting the door he explained how to use the locking system, and left the area looking clean and tidy.We are very happy with our new door, and would recommend you to our friends.

From the first point of contact, the response was very professional. We had dealings with the company reps, the company office, the surveyors who dealt with the planning permission, the groundwork builders and the fitters, as well as having quite a few visits from the site managers and engineers, all of whom knew exactly what was to be done and in what order and all were very polite. They worked in extreme temperatures and always turned up on time and left the site as tidy as possible. We would definitely recommend this company.

We recently had a bay window replaced with First Home Improvement..The workman was brilliant did the job in no time. Very pleasant and a keen worker. When he was finished we expected a mess to clear up, but no there was absolutely NOTHING to clear up. It was really great and we were well pleased.We would without a doubt give this Company 5stars without hesitation.

I had never heard of this company before, but I would certainly recommend them.I had 7 windows and 3 doors fitted and from start to finish everyone who we saw from this company were a pleasure to meet, from the salesman to the fitters. All were polite and courteous with nothing being too much trouble. The fitters especially left no mess and worked around the small children and a dog. Hats off to them.The product is perfect for what we wanted and looks fantastic. I can now relax knowing full well my choice to have First Home Improvements do this work was the best decision.Thank youKeith Pearson

Although the windows were fitted fine the after service is Not GoodI have phoned various staff members on numerous occasions as we are still 6 door keys missing, all you get is empty promises and no follow up. Should have been 3 locks with 3 keys each, only got 3 keys in total. If you have a problem they don't seem bothered. Not sure how good the guarantee will turn out to be.If you still use them definitely do not pay until you are 100% happy.

If only you could select no stars. A VERY hard sell on my elderly mother in the summer of 2020. The salesman came in to my mums house last year during lockdown - despite that being against the rules. Hot and sweaty, he got her to go through paperwork and sign documents - no sanitizing in place.When she told me about the sale, I looked in to it and was appalled at what she had been made to sign up to and the circumstances of the sale in her home, with no opportunity to discuss with family before signing.I contacted head office and got the contract cancelled. 6 months later and i have asked for a copy of the paperwork from the branch. I have met with nothing but resistance, rudeness and changing answers as to why they refuse to help.Only after going much higher up have they bothered to send copies in the post after coming up with lots of different excuses as to why we couldn't see the paperwork.Appalled at the customer service (or lack of), attitude of the staff and general approach to doing business.They're the reason this industry has a bad name.Only saving grace was the speed at which they agreed to cancel the contract but that's a small upside and was no doubt to avoid any negative reviews.There are 2 outstanding charges on their companies house records which is a warning sign and are rated low down on Which.Use anyone but them.

Product is excellent and great quality but the scaffolding is still up and I really wish the company would let us know when things are not going to plan instead of not turning up and not phoning to explain or say when the work will be done. Very difficult to get someone to phone back until I threatened to contact the finance company.However we have had some excellent and extensive work carried out by First Home Improvements and it is definitely a good idea to spend a bit extra for the quality.

Has to be the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. they never accept liability for their inferior products. They supplied and fitted two sets of French/Patio doors in 2020 which I had nothing but problems with, condensation, mould, draughty and ill fitting. After 6 months of giving me the runaround took my complaint to the Ombudsman who decided that First Home Improvements were in breach of contract. The full amount of money was refunded to me from my credit card company. I got Ipswich Trade frames who were superb. the quality, finish were fantastic and were so much cheaper. I would never use FHI again as their products are cheap and nasty at highly inflated prices. Save yourself a lot of stress and hassle and use a reputable company like Ipswich Trade Frames.

On the whole we were very satisfied with First Home Improvements. Initially there was a problem with the completion date but this was resolved. The staff who worked on site were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. We are pleased with the look of our conservatory and the quality of their products.

Dreadful customer service by the managing director.I have written two letters and left a phone message about the company not honouring a warranty on their work.He hasnt had the decent courtesy to reply in any form.How can you trust a company that offers a warranty on their work and refuses to accept their responsibility.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY .I will not give up, even if I have to go to the small claims court. How can a company put their reputation in the bin for less than £100 , Beggars belief.
