Used to be a great surgery, but not anymore. Books you to have a doctor ring you - and then they don’t. Twice! Receptionist will then gaslight you by saying they did call. I was sat by my phone all day. Stop meds on your repeat without notice or reviewing with you; this is medication which has a notice on the box saying not to come off it without consulting the GP! Quite happy to leave you without essential meds for a few days. Not interested with MH issues.

Awful doctors practice which is really badly managed. You cannot get an appointment because apparently they are still working to covid rules and giving you a telephone consult and then maybe if they feel the need the doctor will book you in - you wouldn’t be phoning if there wasn’t a reason ! They say the doctor will phone you yet they do not even give you a time that they will phone. Is it the receptionists that play god who actually decide who to give the “emergency” appointments to ? There is one individual who is definitely needs a course in customer service and how to speak to people. I am looking into trying to get into another practice as this one is so bad.

I was very sceptical of registering to Bodnant because of all the negative reviews I read before I moved to Bangor but my experience has been nothing but pleasant with them.I have had undiagnosed health issues for just over three years and my hometown doctors have left me feeling disregarded and hopeless in terms of ever knowing what has been causing all of my ongoing issues. This past week, I had been experiencing another flare up and contacted Bodnant. I was given an urgent appointment and saw the doctor within two hours.Dr Catrin Williams is one of the nicest people I have ever met, she was compassionate and extremely helpful during and after my appointment. I had a blood test the same day with a nurse who was also lovely.A few days after my blood test, I was contacted by Catrin, and she provided me with a diagnosis that my previous doctors couldn't do in over three years. I feel massive relief to finally understand why I have been struggling all this time and I would like thank the staff at Bodnant for providing such a welcoming, professional service and to let them know how much of a difference they have made to my life in such a short amount of time.

I have nothing but positive experiences to share about Bodnant Surgery.I don’t often need the doctor but whenever I’ve needed support I’ve filled in the e consultation and been offered a telephone consultation a day or two later. I’ve never had an issue being seen in person and following the telephone consultation I have always been asked to come in in person the same day.Once seen in person I’ve always been treated with respect and taken seriously and a thorough history is taken along with blood work completed.A successful diagnosis is always made in conclusion.I’ve been with Bodnant Surgery for 32 years and never had a single issue.Recently I saw Dr Asha who was excellent.I’ve always found the receptionist to be polite and helpful.GP surgeries often get bad reviews as people feel they should have different treatment to what the professionals know they need and this annoys them. It doesn’t reflect on the practice and seem to be a recurring theme these days.

The medical care is competent but managing the urgent appointments is appalling! The telephone system does not work properly. I start dialing the number at 8am, and typically get through at least half an hour later, if at all! When I eventually get to speak to a receptionist, all the appointments for the day are gone. Every single time! I find this frustrating, upsetting, and unacceptable.

I am the mum of a student who is in her 4th & final year at Bangor uni. As a mum I worry! Over those 4 years I have contacted the surgery several times, sometimes on behalf of my daughter and sometimes for my own peace of mind or information. I have always found the staff to be friendly, down to earth, flexible, understanding, knowledgeable and very helpful. Please, if like me, you have had a positive experience, please do say on here! It's a heck of a tough, emotionally taxing job hearing sick or anxious people asking for help. Thanks very much... a reassured & happy mum!

Absolute shambles of a GP. Will withold vital medications and then will gaslight you into believing that it is your fault. I sent information that I was leaving for summer in 1 week and asked if I could have a months worth of medications. They completely ignored this request and then pretended it never existed when phoning. Te Welsh NHS really needs to do an investigation into this surgery as its only a matter of time before its ineptitude will lead to a patient dying from not having access to their vital medications. Unfortunately, this is the only choice for students in Bangor.

If I could give it less than one star I would have done it. Terrible service, whenever you call them they ask you to call tomorrow again, if you call the next day they will ask you to do the same.Paracetamol for them is the solution for everything, they are not willing to help or to book you for a checkup unless you are dying which in this case you would be rushed to A&E.I've been ill for around 2 weeks now with a cough and all they gave recommended is to get paracetamol and over the counter medicines. Whenever I've spoken to my local pharmacists they would eventually refer me back to the GP again as they are not allowed to give me anything not prescribed, overall a nightmare.

Reception lady with no medical qualifications plays god with your life and most of the doctors are still hiding behind phone calls due to supposed covid! An embarrassment! Needs investigating.
