As spoons go it's big but they maintain service well and the place is generally is clean and tidy. Ale storage can be hit and miss and the toilets can veer off the straight road sometimes but they do a reasonable job all round

I found it strange that staff don't seat you and it's a complete free for all to get a seat! People were coming in and barging in front because they could get to a table faster than me... I had a pram!!A waitress finally got us a table after me asking several times.The high chair was absolutely disgusting... i used half a packet of antibacterial wipes on it since the girl didn't bother cleaning it, and it still felt sticky and filthy. I reluctantly put my son in it.The juice came in dirty glasses, which were originally filled halfway with ice and half with flat juice.We waited so long for food and then it finally arrived with dirty cuttlery. The chips were crispy and scabby, and the fish was soggy. We were so hungry we just ate it and left.We had someone practically sitting on our knee before we left in order to get a seat. They were actually sitting before we left the table.They really need to sort their system out.You couldn't pay me to return!

It is a Weatherspoons. Decent grub, good service and a nice atmosphere. I had the large breakfast and the wife had scrambled eggs on toast plus 2 latte coffees with free refills all for less than £14.00. What more can you ask for?

It was busy we sat at the only table available for 4 of us including a toddler. It had dishes on and thought that someone would have come and removed these. But after 5 mins we had to go and find someone. I had ordered the American burger I didn't want the mustard but then find out there was no cheese on it. For the price they ask for this it's definitely NOT worth the money. We got my grandson the fruit bag which we paid for and never received, also the juice you get is a carton of apple juice so if you have a toddler with you bring their cup

1 of those places with a proper feel of the old pub. It was a bit expensive, but it's OK if you compare with other places. Classic!

Long waiting time for food. I can actually see my burger sitting on the counter for the last 10 min. Asked a waitress what is happening and she said order got missed and they are going to make it fresh now. At least we are getting fresh burgers not the one that was sitting there for 10min.... I hope...

Saturday evening popped in for a quick coffee after a meal else where, wasn't as busy as I'd expected for a Saturday, service at the till point was rather slow and overall feel lacked atmosphere, @Wetherspoons why no music, lift music would be much better to break up yhe sound of constant chatter. Good thing, 99p coffee and free refills

We waited 10mins to get the table cleared from a previous party. After 10 mins, I had to clear the table myself. When my breakfast arrived, “toast” was warm bread & pure white!! & the fried egg was about as not at all appetising & had the consistency of a beer mat!!
