Beautiful garden, with lots to see, even on a dreary day. The garden is divided into a series of 'rooms' with different characters. Beautiful pools and water use, as well as bigger open spaces.I like the fact that they offer the loan of picnic blankets!Everything is well labelled, and there are plans of the border planting.

Wow, what an amazing garden. There is such a lovely feeling to this place. It has so much character with lots of interesting features that relate back to the history of the past. It's a lot bigger than it looks with loads to explore. I think it's my second favourite National Trust Garden. My number 1 is Bodnant in Wales. You park in a free car park just across the road. There's a lovely little coffee takeaway counter in the garden. Inside you will also find a brilliant garden museum/information centre.

Fantastic garden in the most unexpected place in the centre of the village! Well maintained, beautiful plants, lawns, trees, etc. The house isn't open to the public. There were refreshments available and toilets. Overall, a pleasant hour or so to be spent here.

Visited on a very warm September day. Parking is well signposted and about a 2 minute walk away. This charming garden shows the English country style at its best. Full of variety, there are peaceful water gardens, colourful borders and imaginative topiary. You can picnic in the Arboretum or grab a tea, coffee or in my case an ice cream.I can imagine it might not be so relaxing during school holidays. If you enjoy a traditional English garden, definitely worth a visit.

An interesting garden built on a former industrial site. It's a much bigger site than it looks and has a range of formal gardens and wooded areas to explore. There are picnic tables and a van serving drinks and snacks. The tree school looked great for youngsters. Free parking opposite the entrance in the village hall car park. Nice place to spend an hour spend an hour or two.

What a delight! We met family here fir an afternoon and were shocked we hadn't discovered it sooner. The beautifully tended gardens were fabulous, dotted with follies, lovely lawns and an adventure area fir the grandkids. We will be back again to see it change with the seasons. I can't recommend it enough.

Nice for a walk, only takes 30 minutes or so but could stretch to an hour. Picnic area and nice place for kids to build dens and learn some things. Parking fairly easy and good staff as always.
