Very pleasantly surprised. Not been here in over 20 years! Warm welcome on arrival and very nicely done out. Felt warm and comfortable. Great seating and atmosphere. Ordered via the app. Drinks very quickly arrived as did the food. Ordered from the classic menu, 2 for £12.99 and couldn't believe the value for money. Food cooked to perfection. Waitress was lovely and checked back to see if all OK or anything else needed. Didn't realise it was a greene king pub and was really impressed overall with the food, service, value and feel of the pub. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back.

Green king pub with plenty of parking and a good size indoor area.We stopped for lunch and everything was fine. Bar service was a bit confusing with some forming a queue but then just walked up avoiding it?My daughter has already been back again since for the chicken platter

Decent pub with food and screens to view football.We arrived to watch a game and found almost all the tables were reserved for guests arriving 2 hours ahead, effectively half of the pub was empty.This was not an issue as the landlady was very kind and quickly sorted out a table for us and others who came to watch the game.So dont be turned off by all the reservations, they are very reasonable and will help you out

We went to the air balloon around 6:30pm on the 23rd of September and when we got there asked if the South Africa Vs Ireland rugby match was playing which kicked off at 8:00pm that night and we were assured that it did by the bar staff and sat next to the TV that we were told was playing the match. One of our group was disabled and therefore we asked before we sat down and had a ordered and food or drink to ensure that we would be able to watch the game, if not we would’ve gone to another pub to be able to watch the rugby without having to make another journey; which without a taxi whole not have been possible for the disabled member of our party. We then ordered drinks and a meal and just before 8pm, when we expected them to change over to the channel to show the rugby, we again questioned if they were going to show the rugby and were informed that someone wanted to watch the football so they couldn’t play the rugby on one of their many TVs. We did complain however they said they could not do anything. We ended up at another pub which was showing the rugby and was very accommodating however this could have been avoided had the manager spoken to us about the rugby not being played especially as it states online that it was going to show the rugby. It made us feel very unwelcome and put the disabled member of our party in a very difficult position as they could not easily move around. I was incredibly disappointed with the service, and although the bar staff were very helpful and apologised the manager was incredibly rude and unapologetic.following on from the response,looking at the poster on the wall how can you be showing the rugby and the football on at the same time when the matches clash.the poster in the pub states that you will be showing both matches tomorrow? how will you amend this issue before tomorrow ?

Staff attentive and very pleasant and drinks ok. Food was bad, the meat was burnt and tasted like the metal plate where it was served, would not recommended food in here.

Just had a meal at this venue. So glad they have brought the golden years menu back. It is enough on a lunchtime for us. I had the chicken Diane & my husband & mother had cooked breakfast. It was all cooked lovely & the service & staff are excellent.Thank you

Lovely pub and food is excellent for the price. I had a steak fondue sharer meal too myself.Was lovely. Could done with more sauce and thebsteak was fine but not of beat quality. That's 2 reasons I didn't give 5 stars. But over all brilliant.Good selection of drinks and not a bad price.My partners meal was lovely. And my child meal also was good.
