Super cool place. Edinburgh's best kept secret!!Unlike so many pubs out there, this place is real. Just had a new owner take over too, clearly a lot of effort going into making it the best boozer in the city

Horrendous. After I complained that the beer was quite obviously off, the staff poured it away and simply shrugged their shoulders without a solution. Didn't offer another beer. Didn't apologise. Paid for two pints of off beer and we then left. Terrible.

Wee pub with an incredible atmosphere. Really, really friendly staff and locals with a great pint of Tennents - what more could you want?Thursday music nights especially are class!

First time here, such a quirky great place to go, staff are fun and the outside bit is great, enjoyed it very much.Plenty to look at and the beer was good. Cheers!

We stayed in Edinburgh for 16 days and ended up at star bar probably 13 days of our stay. Bella, Charles, Chris and Georgia are all such great bartenders and so lovely to hang with and talk too. The bar itself has a really cool atmosphere and we loved the beer garden as well! It was hands down our favorite pub during our stay. MUCH LOVE FROM AMERICA!! Xoxoxxo
