Just terrible! They successfully tendered for a £100,000 extension to our property. In the interval before the build they were unresponsive and continually decline to cost additional works. The talked about a JCT contract but never provided one. Just 3 weeks before the start of the work they pulled out. They stated that the reason was that they'd been taken over and no longer had a small works division!

Please do not use this company.Judge the company on it attitude and bearing - if this is bad the workmanship and quality will be the same.When checking a crossroad was clear this morning the Skinner company representative behind me had the ignorance to blow his horn to pressure me out into the road.I stopped to “discuss” the matter and he drove away - thank you for the nice gesture….NB the sign writing on the van matches the website photos - watch out for these vehicles - an accident in the making

DO NOT USEWe asked Skinners to come and take a look at a leaky tap. We were told that it was a quick and easy job to fix. The part would be £8 - £10. Because of the design of the tap we decided to replace the part in the cold and hot tap.After alot of badgering on our part the plumber finally turns up 4 weeks later and is here for a total of 10 minutes. 3 weeks later an invoice finally arrives after us having to request it. But the invoice is for £80. when we queried this with skinners the manager refused to speak to us on the phone and would only email us.In his email he stated that he would not honour any price given to us as it had been a verbal quote. He also informed us that he was charging for an hours work, even though the plumber was here for a total of 10 minutes.Me and my husband are extremely disappointed by the service we have recieved from skinner. They are not a professional company and their response is shocking. I would definitely not recommend them, in fact I would advise you to avoid.
