We have been using Keith Pownall and Sons as our builders for over 20 years. The work they have done for us has included relatively small jobs such as fitting a sun tube, opening up a fireplace for a wood burner and replacing old windows, as well as larger projects such as a loft conversion in 2004, an extension in 2015 and a new brick garage and driveway in 2019. We have never been disappointed with their work, which is always of an excellent quality. They are professional, friendly, reliable and trustworthy. We give them a spare house key for the duration of the project and know that they will leave everything secure and tidy at the end of the day. They always keep us informed of progress, giving updates and discussing choices and prices as we go along. We have come to regard the whole team as family friends and can not recommend them highly enough.

We have a Georgian house and there were all sorts of complexities to navigate - Keith & his team were really helpful at troubleshooting and the cost of their work is reasonable. We have used Keith Pownall for various building jobs over the years. They converted our integral garage to a reception room and the work is of a very high standard, so much so that everyone comments how it looks like it was always a room. The brick work is seamless and all the lads are great to have around, honest and reliable which is a rarity these days. We have now had them undertake a complete remodel of our soon to be new home and again cannot fault their work, highly recommended.

We had our garage converted by Keith Pownall & Sons and we were super impressed. the guys were extremely hard working, clean, polite and all at a very competitive price. They went above and beyond to help out with ideas that made saving and better usage of space. All in all a great experience that was all completed on time,. very happy customer.

Keith Pownall & Sons have recently completed a single storey extension of our semi detached house & we are really really pleased with the transformation of our home.Keith, Gavin, Dave and all the team came recommended to us from another builder and I’m very glad that we were pointed in their direction.From day one we felt comfortable with them being in our home. They kept us updated on their progress, responded quickly to any questions that we had, coordinated electrical, plastering, plumbing etc.. and ensured any contractors we arranged independently did a good job for us.We’ve had lots compliments about the quality of the build and we couldn’t be happier with their work. After speaking to several building firms, we selected Pownall’s to work with. They are an established family business.Their ethics shone throughout the project. Sticking to their original costs, even throughout Covid, when others were increasing prices hand over fist. They were always available to speak to, arrived on time, left the site tidy and delivered work to the highest standards. I needed to have people I could trust, both financially and around my family.Another benefit was they dealt with all of the other trades on the job. These trades have worked with them for a long time and therefore treat Pownall’s as a priority customer, meaning that we never had to wait for the next job to start. Their values also aligned with Pownall’s. This included purchasing materials from merchants, meaning that we didn’t have unexpected delays.As with any large project, there’s bound to be one or two things that need revisiting after the work is finished. For me, this is where they shine. They treated any issues with urgency and got the matter dealt with quickly.I have gone on to recommend them to a number of friends and family and will continue to do so. I have already asked them to do additional work.

I have known Keith and Gavin for a number of years and would highly recommend them to anyone considering any type of building work.We have used them on numerous occasions over the years and everything they have done has been completed on time, at a very reasonable price and to an excellent standard. Their attention to detail and thoroughness sets them apart.Our current house hadn’t been lived in for 14 years and had suffered flood damage from a burst pipe. It required a thorough inspection and extensive building work. Keith and Gavin oversaw all aspects of the entire course of work from start to finish. They arranged and co-ordinated the timings of other tradesman (plumber, electrician, plasterers, decorators etc) to ensure that the work as completed efficiently and to an excellent standard. Keith and the lads have recently completed a major renovation of our Bungalow. This included knocking separate bathroom and toilet into one, new doors, floors, plaster walls, demolishing an old extension and creating a new modern one.We had used Keith for an extension our previous bungalow and didn’t even consider a different building company for this job, it was always going to be Keith.Keith was able to advise on all aspects of the job, building regulations, roof systems, underfloor heating , windows, bi-fold doors and roof lanterns.The new extension, including kitchen, dining living room, is fabulous. We love the roof lantern and bi-fold doors on the patio, all done by Keith’s lads.The standard off the work is excellent, from Gavin’s joinery and kitchen fitting to Dave & Ash’s building work, patio laying etc.We couldn't recommend them highly enough for any building work you're planning to have done. Trustworthy, genuine people who you won’t regret choosing.
