Dave helped me out getting some wood for our bonfire night party. Not only did he let me have some good dry wood for free but even delivered it to me. Couldn't t have had our party without him. Really great to see a business engaging with the local community in a way where everyone benefits.

We have used Direct Gardens on two occasions, first to remodel the back garden in 2019 and then again this year to put in a driveway. On both occasions, the quality and standard of work has been excellent. Dave was great in coming up with ideas and suggestions which suited our needs and budget. The team are extremely professional and friendly. I can’t recommend Direct Gardens highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.

Dave and his team did an excellent job doing our driveway after we were let down by another local company. The team were friendly, professional, punctual and communicated with us throughout. The organisation of skip deliveries and supplies was excellent, with Dave letting us know exactly when to expect them. If we need any landscaping jobs completed in the future, I would not hesitate to contact Dave. Highly recommend!

Dave and his team did an excellent job. Cleared the front garden, laid a new path and doorstep, and replaced the small fence.Artificial grass laid on both sides of the new path and extended the border of pebbles under the livingroom window.Took about 2 weeks but the weather stopped the team working for most of that time. They worked hard, a lot of heavy-lifting and skill required. The garden has been slightly raised so the slope has been a bit reduced, the benefit of which is a reduction in the height of the doorstep. The path and doorstep are non-slip.Makes the garden seem so much bigger, and allows more natural light into the front room.Delighted with the new garden and looking forward to placing colourful plant pots next spring.

AVOID AT ALL COSTSDave McKay of Direct Gardens accepted a £750 deposit from us in October 2020.We signed a contract for some minor work in our garden - some paving and agarden gate. It was agreed that the work would start around March 2021.The next year consisted of Dave repeatedly promising to get in touch with astart date for the work. Every few months we asked for an update but were leftwith excuses and empty promises.We lost patience with this company in Feb of 2022 and requested a refund. Atthis point Dave stopped replying to all messages and letters we sent. Itappears from other reviews that we are not alone in this experience. Two and ahalf years later our only remaining option is to take this company to court (atour own expense) to recover our deposit.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Dave and his team carried out a full garden redesign for us to the highest of standards. The work included building full sized fences, gate, new patio area, artificial grass, bin storage area and raised planter beds. We are extremely happy with our new garden and all the hard work that went into making it. Would highly recommend Direct Gardens to anyone who is looking for a professional landscaped garden from a local business.
