The final result of having solar panels is great, I love it, but the experience of dealing with Deege Solar was painful. What they say and what they do are two different things. If they tell you the electrician will turn up at 11.00am expect him at 1.30pm the following day (and he’ll only work for about 90 mins). That first day no show will mean you’ll have to help the delivery driver to unload the panels yourself. The electrician will tell you he’ll come back the third day, but won’t. He’ll randomly turn up about four days later, promise to return the following day, but won’t.When you discover that they’ve forgotten to order and install one of your batteries it will take another month to schedule in the installation. Then it won’t arrive, taking another three weeks to re-schedule a day that will then get cancelled in place of the next morning that won’t happen because the sparkie isn’t asked to attend by them until 2pm (it’ll be a different one to no Mr No-Show from before). He’ll attend at 4.30pm and install the missing battery. You’ll wish you had him from the start, he’ll seem like a good guy.The non-arriving battery will be the fault of the electrical supplier, who’ll offer a £200 credit for the inconvenience of you taking another day off. But you will never see the £200. Deege will keep it, despite promising to send it to you, and will no longer reply to your emails.Having solar panels is great.Having Deege Solar install them is not.

We have had panels (including SolarEdge optimisers), batteries and an EPS system installed (5 circuits on an additional consumer unit which was not straightforward to implement). The system install started on the date promised and is fully operational, giving us benefits. We can also continue to run our home for up to two days, including the gas heating system, should we experience a power cut.We live in the north of England and the install took longer than anticipated. Some of the problems were of Deege’s own making and some weren’t. However they stuck with it until the job was finished – even though this meant an additional trip north after a weekend. We had four different people on site at various times and all seemed competent at what they were doing. They cleared up well after the job and the install looks immaculate.I was a little concerned about what to expect having read some of the reviews on Trustpilot. This led me to get involved and review what was happening during the installation and chase beforehand to ensure expectations were managed. I also kept a close eye on the routing of cables to ensure ascetics, where appropriate, were as we wanted them. If I had not done this there would have been some avoidable rework. Dave (managing director) was excellent and did what he could to solve any problems incurred during the installation and to get the job finished asap. I can understand why some dates slip as unforeseen difficulties on one job can have a knock-on effect to another although I suspect the vast majority of jobs run smoothly.I also learned a few things through the process of how Deege work. I thought they would order parts well ahead of the job and hold them in stock (after all they had my deposit). It seems that they buy the parts from wholesalers as they need them and this can lead to problems. I think if this had been explained and there was some communication in the days and weeks leading up to the installation I would have been less nervous.Other aspects of the company, given Deege’s size, have impressed me and I would happily recommend them. A relative of mine had their installation done a week later and was very impressed. Although his job was late it was completed in two days and is working well.Overall the product seems excellent. The people who came were very professional and knew what they were doing and were all pleasant to deal with. As with many small growing businesses problems can occur and Deege stuck with the problems we incurred, solved them, and delivered well. I’m pleased we went with Deege. We are yet to receive our ‘certificates’ and other paperwork. I will update this review if there is a problem here.

What a fantastic installer with excellent customer service. Bobby in the sales team provided so much knowledge with great communication. Dave, Ant and Nick in the installer team were so professional with a tireless work ethos and keen to help at any time. And finally Scott and Kate in the Admin Team who provided an invaluable and efficient service. Would absolutely recommend Deege Solar to install your system.

BRILLIANT - 5 STARS!I have recently made the switch to an electric vehicle and so needed a home charger installing. I’m so pleased I chose Deege Solar. Dave and the team have been fantastic throughout the process. They were really flexible, completing the install around my busy schedule. They spent time and care to ensure I was happy with where the charger would be situated prior to starting the work and the install itself was completed efficiently but carefully and looks really neat. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough and they will be my first port of call if I ever need any such work doing in future.

I believe that Deege are a good company at heart & have some good people but they have been drowned in the recent wave of solar popularity. I placed my order at the end of November thinking that it would be in plenty of time for the summer. I was originally given an install date for February which I was happy with. However this was postponed to May and I finally had the installation done in June ! It was then another lengthy battle to get all the paperwork through and be correct. I finally got the export tariff set up in August ! So much for being in time for the summer !The installers did a good job and the system has been working well so far. However I am concerned as to how good the support would be for any issues that arise as they are just so busy. Maybe things have now settled down a bit ?I think they have been victims of their own success and aren't really geared up to handle a big wave of installations at a national level.Unfortunately based on my experience I can't recommend them at the current time. Maybe if you live in Essex you might be OK.

These guys are super nice and fast, they’ve provided all the information I requested during before and after my installation and the price was really competitive. I couldn’t be happier.

Honestly, I have never known such bad customer service. This company has clearly struggled with the epic demand for Solar given the ongoing energy crisis, but that is no excuse for taking on customers and consistently letting them down. Sincere advice is to avoid at all costs!Initial quotation and contract experience by Rod was fantastic, excellent communicator and advisor. Sadly that is where the positives end for this company.Contract agreed and signed in June 2022 then came the delays/excuses/out right ignored. Installation delayed multiple times, often Deege didn’t even bother to tell me. I would call them on the day of agreed install (as no one would arrive) to be told “yeah sorry, the installers aren’t coming”. The admin team are beyond useless, seriously you need to hire some competent staff. When the install did take place, what an utter joke of a service!! Arguably dangerous wiring, cables taped to downpipes!? Holes left in walls and messy cable runs.3 months on of remedial work, and further no-shows of engineers/installers the system is finally in and working. Even after all the dramas do you think there is even an acknowledgment of bad customer service? No. A further 2 months chasing MCS certification etc.Honestly, if you choose this company you will spend hours chasing them with phone calls and emails to which they won’t reply unless of course asking for payment…you will sacrifice multiple days off work waiting for installers that never arrive. Be warned. Don’t fall for the glossy website and social media posts/reviews like I and so many others have…***Update to counter the inferred false review below. I complained to Deege on practicality every occasion I spoke to them. After all, it was myself having to always chase for updates… Out of curiosity I checked to see if my review had been published and to my complete surprise a reply from Deege already! The fastest they have ever replied to me!Some photos now attached of the work initially carried out. Admittedly this shoddy workmanship was corrected eventually, I say eventually as it took several phone calls/emails/no show appointments for this remedial work as mentioned above.

Good morning all, here is my review about Deege Solar. Let's start this review in positive manner:*1. Customers non engineering services are really helpful and people are very patient. They were trying really hard to explain why was my installation going this way.*2. On site installation engineer was really helpful and did his job in really unsocial time without any complains in very good manner. His attitude was really outstanding.Sorry but here is the non the best experience part:1. Contract signed and deposit paid on 20/04/2023 but job finished on 8/09/2023 (could be on 4/09/2023 but I wasn't available and there was delay because of my holiday which i informed Degge more than 1 months up-front.2. The reasons for delay as explained to me were NON AVAILIABILITY OF BETTERIES and later NON AVAILIABILITY OF INSTALLATION TEAMS with no compensation as this was mentioned in contract which means company knows about the problems just didn't inform customers.3. The invoice should be made by 3 payments but the invoice office sent me full invoice on 14/08/2023 even the system wasn't fully functional as detailed above (installation finished 8/09/2023)4. The engineering work planning team should know what is required to finish installation prior the job like on my case they missed just '' NON '' IMPORTANT THING LIKE THAT THE PART OF SOLAR PV BATTERY INSTALLATION IN MY CASE NEED SUN and engineer arrive at night.5. The best part is that I expected after job finish to receive some kind of certificate telling me about my Warranty and installation details like Drawing and photos to prevent future problems but I received nothing.Just got update on 30/10/2023 that the final paperwork is in process and take up-to 8 weeks from installation to finish it.

Still suffering from the work carried out .Not timely , very poor installation , turned up late or not at all ,unprepared .Had them back approx 5 times to correct work carried out. It did work and I'm happy with the system however I have a leaking roof now where they drilled through the tiles whereas they should have placed the brackets for the racks for the array under the tiles .Tiles were broken-they taped them with a water proof tape .I'm now having to shell out over 2K to repair their work as I won't have them back as I have no faith in their professionalism. First installers on behalf of Deege were hopeless and hadn't been paid in time so I think my poor job was the direct result of their dissatisfaction-lacked care. Never received the final certification for the install.Gave up with them .Would not recommend. It's shame, as it could have been so much better .I am very wary of tradesmen now.
