Stardust Boat Trips

We went on the Rib in September but only saw seals and 2 pairs of eagles. We’re back up in Skye so wanted to enjoy the experience again so booked to go on the rib yesterday. We saw dolphins, seals, a pair of eagles, a sea otter, plenty of birds, we also had a lot more information given to us this time about the geography of Skye which was great and any question we asked James I think his name was he answered no bother at all. Why all the negative reviews from people I don’t know!!! You cannot guarantee seeing wildlife surely people aren’t that stupid!!

Fantastic couple of hours spent on The Sound of Raasay trip. We got to see the Sea Eagles commanding their nest and then was blessed with a large pod of dolphin's happily swimming and leaping alongside the boat. Dan the Skipper was very friendly and informative. A great experience.

We were a group of 10 and were well looked after on our trip on 13/07/23. We saw 2 separate Sea Eagles, with one circling the boat, and a couple of Minke whales, along with other usual sights. Our skipper/guide was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. Highly recommended!

I had a fabulous 3 hour trip with Iain in beautiful September weather. Saw porpoise at a distance but a playful pod of Dolphin rode the Stardust twin bow for over 4 mins. Later we saw a pair of Sea Eagles. A wonderful, memorable day.

The staff at the book-in location (the chip shop!) and on the boat itself were very friendly and created a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for someone like me who was a bit anxious about going on a boat! We had a brilliant two hours; our captain was knowledgeable about the geography and wildlife, and made sure all the passengers had a chance to see the various wildlife we encountered. Safety instructions were given at the start of the trip in a clear and sensible way without terrifying us! Thank you so much for the excursion - I got some amazing photos of eagles, auks, seals, cormorants, gulls, and the stunning landscape/seascape of the Raasay Sound. Highly recommended!

We had the best experience on our Stardust Boat Trip! We saw lots of dolphins, a Sea Eagle, gannets, and porpoises. The captain was great, had vast local knowledge, happy to answer all our questions. Our Greyhound enjoyed himself too! We would highly recommend this activity.

Lovely boat ride out on the sea, my family and I really enjoyed it. The skipper was full of knowledge and treated us to lots of stories. We saw some dolphins, a whale, sea eagle and even a seal. Loved the ride!

Our trip was absolutely perfect! We were lucky to see the Sea Eagles fly down to scoop a fish out of the water and watch the adorable harbor seals resting on the shoreline. The views around the Sound of Raasay are breathtaking and worth the trip in itself. Our captain was friendly and excited to share his knowledge with us which made the trip even better. As we were heading back to the harbor, dolphins were spotted ! Our captain took the extra time so we could enjoy some time with them . The dolphins swam right up to the boat and playfully followed along for awhile, leaping into the air a few times. We would absolutely book with this company again and recommend to friends.

Beautiful day and sights. We saw a juvenile and adult sea eagle. The latter swooped down for the fish which was spectacular. The toilet was blocked and out of use which wasn't good considering we were the first trip of the day.
