The food was fine and good sized portions, albeit quite expensive for what it was. The service was mixed depending who served. The guy who met us at the door was extremely dour and we felt almost like we shouldn't be there! Others were much better thankfully.Main issue with our meal was the bill. It seemed much more than it should have been but the writing was indecipherable and the itemisation unclear. We didn't have time to question (nor should we have to just because someone can't write clearly) but something was definitely not right...

Average Indian food. Large/diverse menu including Indian, Italian, and Mediterranean dishes. This isn't necessarily a good thing because if you don't do 1 style well, you tend to do many styles not as well. I think the Indian food was the best option here. Prices are up from what's shown in menu pics or online.Pizzas were greasy and I didn't like the dough. Lasagna had way too much cheese and was served with fries. Samosas were a bit over cooked. The honey chicken had good flavor and the lamb jalfrezi had good flavor and was quite spicy. Basmati rice was just ok.

When restaurants can be busy to the point that you have to book in advance, and all you want is good food in quiet surrounds, then consider the Prince of India. Their lunchtime 2-course fixed menu is £9.95 with about 5-6 dishes for each of the starters and main courses. Between the three of us, we each tried different dishes. They had vegetarian options that were delish. We were all delighted. Tables are well spread apart re COVID and distancing. The service was great: friendly and attentive. I’ll be back.

Ate here on a very wet night in Pitlochry.Initially, the restaurant seemed clean and well presented. The food arrived promptly and was OK.However, the Gents toilet facilities were filthy and situated in the bowels of the premises.Persevering with the meal,an almighty row developed in back of house between the staff and continued into the foyer of the main restaurant!Very disconcerting to say the least as most diners stopped eating to see what was going to develope.....Not a good image to portray to visitors to the area.

Avoid this place. Completely overpriced, very oily curry that definitely was not made fresh. They even use frozen carrots! I can only think that there are no other options in the area and that is why some people go there. Sadly however it is a very bad representation of Indian/Bangladeshi food and it is a disgrace that they charge £15 for a vegetarian main that is not even cooked fresh

Disgusting and so not welcoming gesture of Mr Daniel, the person inside bar counter ( if he has mentioned his correct name )Being Indian Restaurant, I along with my family to this restaurant for tea and some snacks. The person said we don’t have Indian Tea and didn’t suggest us any option. My wife then asked do you have earl grey or English, he said yes, but you have to drink it outside restaurant. We felt so disgusted the way that person was talking to us and then we moved further ahead and found Taste of India Restaurant whose staff was warm and welcoming and served us tea and snacks. If any responsible person from Prince of India is managing client concern, kindly look into this. Forgot to mention the other person who’s sitting outside bar counter was nice though, as we were moving out, he asked us why are we going and asked to come back in.

I read the reviews and can't see what the problem is! We had beautiful tender spice garlic lamb, attentive service, they deserve a five star from us. Oh it wasn't cheap but was is in 2023, we understand business have to change and charge for a service.
