Today l walked into the Torquay store and was seen by Thomas. I was blown away by how he went above and beyond to help me out with the sofa l wanted and did buy. We need to purchase a mobility chair from a separate seller. He searched every chair in the range to see if there was a small swatch we could take with us to try and get a close colour match there and then (even went into the warehouse to check). As they’ll have a busy weekend coming up, he said l could borrow the main swatch from the store for my sofa to help chose a close colour match.What can l say? I really appreciate his exceptional service to help make my dream lounge come true. Thank you Thomas x

DFS Torquay very kindly donated some spare fabric and cushions to our cat rescue charity tonight. We will create some crafts to sell at fundraising events as well as making much- needed cat beds.

The delivery of my 2 sofas from DFS was scheduled for today (14/12/23). This was after the 'ready for delivery' date was put back twice during our wait from placing the online order on 1st November (order TAZWBG3U9). Half an hour before the delivery window I received a phone call from the driver to say the lorry had broken down and the sofas wouldn't be arriving. However, he assured me that somebody would call that afternoon to sort out re-delivery. As the afternoon wore on and I hadn't received a call, I phoned the main DFS number and couldn't quite believe what I was told. (1) Their systems don't update for 24 hours so there was nothing she could do before that - even though both myself and the delivery driver had phoned to say what had happened. (2) She could log a call back but that would take 24 hours. (3) If I wanted to speak to a manager at the delivery centre she would log a call back but that would take 72 hours. (4) No, I couldn't speak to a manager at the call centre. Basically if I didn't like her answers it was tough luck. (5) If I wanted to complain I would just have to send an email to the general 'contact us' email address. (6) After 24 hours was up and the systems had updated, then I would just have to get to the back of the queue with everyone else for delivery and the first date on offer was 23rd December. That was at the time of the phone call. I'm sure by the time the systems have updated we'll be in the realms of after Christmas. Given that we have no furniture now as we removed our current sofas to make room for the delivery due today this is completely unacceptable. I guess we'll be spending Christmas sitting on the floor. I've not come across such an appalling level of customer service for a very long time. I strongly recommend you do not buy anything from this shambles of a company. As soon as they have your money they don't give a monkeys. Any other company worth their salt would be falling over themselves to put right a missed delivery date. DO NOT USE.

Went in to the showroom today and was greatest by helpful smiling staff..ALady called Heather greated us with a smile and asked if she could help us we where looking at a leather 3 piece corner suite she couldn't do enough for us made my wife hot chocolate and went through all the maintenance and cleaning of the suite. Never did we feel pushed into anything within 20 minutes she had sorted everything out for us and now we are just waiting for delivery. A bg thank you to all at dfs
