Carol Lumsden Childminder

Carol along with her husband Billy looked after our son for approximately 6 years. Our son loved going to Carols house, his days were filled with fun things to do. Carol has a warm, friendly and inviting home where our son was able to feel safe and cared for. I was very nervous about leaving our son with someone outside of our family but Carol eased our fears by sending photo messages and providing daily diaries so we could see what he had been doing and what he had been eating whilst with them. We would highly recommend Carol to anyone who is looking for a childminder.

Carol was recommended by my long time childminder due to unforseen circumstances. She was lovely and welcoming for both me and my daughter who was shy to the point she didn't even want to take her coat off.When my daughter felt comfortable she came out of her shell. Carol has taught her soo many things from counting to recognising letters through playing. She's also developed her speech and became confident in talking, making friends and asking questions and tells me about her day. She tells me about what she does during the day and always can wait to go back the following morning sometimes don't want to leave Carol's. My daughter was very fond of her husband Billy who is her assistant. Dancing, singing, reading, dressing up and sometimes making fun of him.Carol is a professional and takes her job seriously. She makes sure that your updated during the day what your child is doing, this is by pictures or text messages. Her style of teaching and creativity when it comes to activities is amazing. She's very good with working with parents whether is potty training etc. Her communication is brilliant making it easy as a parent to discuss anything concerning your child. There's soo much I can say about the service that Carol provides. I recommend her a million times over and you won't be disappointed.

We used Carol to look after both our boys now aged 9 and 5. She works with her husband Billy. Both are fantastic with the children and both our boys loved going. She provides an excellent environment and an introduction to the early years learning curriculum. Part of her house has been converted to provide an area exclusively to look after the children and provides a wide range of activities. She lives near to a play park so part of the day can involve a walk to the park for a play. I would highly recommend Carol as a childminder.
